Hi we have a major maths test on Wednesday including everything from year 11 and year 12 so far. I am doing lots of revision but keep getting wrong answer for this question. Thinking maybe the answer in back is wrong? It is from Maths in focus book 2 and it is Ex 4.3 QUESTION 3C on page 139...

i came 4/123 ( for eng adv) i dont read any books ( including the school texts) i am trying to read more though ( like school books) for hsc

they can test prelim stuff in the hsc for some subjects ( a.g maths) so your actual prelim marks dont count BUT you need to understand some of the stuff for the hsc ..

adv eng is like year 10 english, ext requires you to come up with thesis and think outside the triangle

i use conquering .. only coz thats what our school brought .. it seems okay whats everyones problems with it?

this girl in our year got $120 for coming 1st in two subjects and showing dedication :( i want money

our year 12's dont get a prez night, they just get a graduation at the end of term 3 or whatever. having a prez night sounds good though, as it would be fun to come back to school and see everyone after you have left ...

also .. how much was the assesment worth? e.g my 1st maths assess for this term was worth 30%, but chemistry was worth 4% the weighting affects it heaps ..

ranks and marks are sent in. but even if just marks were sent in BOC could figure out the rankings! :)

of you uses direct quotes then yes tat is plagisrism. if you are stuck when writig something, and then you take an idea and then change it/add to it that would be okay

my school does spec fiction .. this year we have maybe 15??? but i dont know

we are doing spec fiction too, the same texts as you ( i think) dont use guides! read the text, and work stuff out for yourself, that is what english is all about

aww sorry .. lol 3rd post .. but i wish i had different english teachers. taht way you dont get stuck with one, have more advice and stuff and can get like ur adv teacher to help with ext! that would be good
