Do you guys get to do things like algebra in 3/4 unit or is that restricted to Maths and General?

Wow, your grade must be huge! Business studies at my school has about 55 students and is probably one of the top 3 most popular subjects and my grade has about 200 students in it.

I got some REALLY poor mark for the first assessment task - like 16/40 or something, absolutely pathetic, but then again the whole grade at my school performed miserably. I'm going to make a real effort for the next task to do well and pick up my game so I don't stuff up again.

Hahaha, kinda. But I'm helping out other people in the process. For a HSC student, this level of in-depth knowledge would never be examined, that'd be more like a university assessment.

I wouldn't bother doing an interactive DVD. It'd be too much work for little reward. Considering our teacher often seems more concerned with the documentation of the project than the actual project itself, I wouldn't bother. Plus a website is very flexible with what you can integrate into it :)

Yeah, Trev is sweating on all 4 units of his Maths to count towards his UAI. I don't know if SOR1 will count towards mine or not, but I've done alright so far in the first assessment task and my ISP is being marked now so I'll get those results back pretty soon :)

I definitely agree. And if you're short on things to write about (kinda hard, but it could happen) you can explain in depth of what is shown in the graph, displaying to the marker the extent of your knowledge on the topic.

I find it useful how with the Leading Edge workbook you can go to their website and get answers to all the questions contained in it. It helps you out when revising and practising for exams.

I've never heard of the leading edge updates. Are they just updated statistics on economics information and stuff? If so, it could be useful in essays etc. We just get told to keep ourselves up to date with the news and current affairs, i.e. what the $AUD is trading at and major economic...

My teacher advised us to stay clear of movies as related texts if at all possible, because there's so many features to talk about that shape meaning within such a short time period. I used the lyrics of a song "On the road to find out" and fared pretty well in the speech task.

Yep, multiple choice always first, but it's handy to look at all the other questions in your reading time anyway to get a grasp of what you're up for.
