    The Sydney Conservatorium Students Thread

I originally posted this in the USyd forum, but it seems this is really the place to ask. Yay that's a nice bit of automatic prestige for us serfs at the Seymour Centre :p. I'm interested in doing some of the Con units for my music major. In the music dept office at Seymour they have a...

    Finding 2006 units timetables

Stupid question of the hour: The Con timetables are on a seperate thingo, on the Con site? Arts Faculty Music Dept also seems to be having its usual tantrum and not co-operating with normal timetable procedures... Nothing's there :(.

The Riots in Paris, Oct/Nov 2005 - Toute discussion française ICI

    Paris riots

A` Paris, goddamn it! To swing wildly back on topic, it seems that this is just the latest in periodic tensions between the police and those who live in the Suburbs. Also, to get more into the 'why', in the French papers everyone's writing that it's been, fundamentally, a gross...

The Riots in Paris, Oct/Nov 2005 - Toute discussion française ICI

The Riots in Paris, Oct/Nov 2005 - Toute discussion française ICI

Allez-y, Papy!

Grammar help with 'le' and the like

Hi Solskjaer, bienvenue au forum français en plus! Yes that's ^ correct. envoyer a`, so you take the indirect object, 'te'. As it's in front of the vowel you do «t'», and the indirect object pronoun goes before the infinitive there. A+ :) I see you're doing the HSC in 2007 - are you...

Block of flats collapse in Lane Cove - tunnel construction

No :D. They just showed the hotel they were staying at on a news story on TV (!) so I figured out where they were. But I do live in North Ryde/Macquarie Park. I don't go around stalking people whose homes had just been ruined, I swear!

Block of flats collapse in Lane Cove - tunnel construction

... in the Somerset Thingy Hotel on Delhi Road, directly above where they're building Epping-Chatswood Rail-Link tunnel, I think.... Let's hope that one doesn't collapse

Semester 2, 2005 at Usyd (or 2005 at USyd)

I think I shall try To share my thoughts on uni With a short (!) haiku. It ain't been that bad. But then, twelve contact hours Are really F.A. I hate no subject - German, French and music are Relatively nice. But French has been a Little boring, but alas, Pour moi, c'est la vie...

    Who Works/worked ar Target

Yesterday was the first time I've worked somewhere that wasn't refunds/registers. Was in the back dock splitting pallets because there are 2304293857 that need to be moved before Monday. I've been there 10 months in that little cocoon on refunds, it's such a different world. No customers! :p...

    Futurama-Tales of Interest

Bored and watching the DVD with the audio commentary ( ), at 3min 50-55ish seconds they mention that they played this song a few times in the episode, and mention "getting kickbacks from [Gloria Estefan and] the Miami Sound Machine", so ^^ is probably right.

Bernstein and Bronski Or Inspector Rex

How can you answer a question like that about your children! :D And woohoo about Hamburg. Mum and her family are from there and so we watch it for the scenery (whatever there is of it :S), anything else that happens, who cares! But it isn't a bad show. It reminds me of Water Rats for some...

    Who Works/worked ar Target

Ah good ole Targé. Our store's one of the smaller stores, so in a lovely bit of CML cost-cutting Sound Bar and Lay-by are one department - and they kill themselves, especially on weekends when only ONE person does the WHOLE day... Lay-by/Soundbar just CLOSES for when they go on the break...
