ur teacher is right, u can't bring the 3 down log laws show: ln x^3 = 3ln x (ln x)^3 does not = 3ln x u might still get marks for working like correct use of simspons rule, but changing the answer to 3lnx is wrong sorry

i reckon the exam was moderate, not extremely difficult, but not easy peasy either also, i got a negative answer for the simpsons rule i think, but it asks for an evaluation, not the actual area, so it doesn't need to be positive

i tend to agree with Bob, a mark of 70 is unlikely to be pushed 10 marks higher int0o a band 5, thats a lot of marks and people who u have passed mid to high 70's is a likely band 5, but high 60 to low 70's would probably get pushed to high 70's if u get 80, then u don't have to worry bot...

in the end, u must make a decision based on what u feel is right first of all, u should look at both coursres, the content, and the level of difficulty are u able to tackle all the work that 2 unit provides, will u be able to go well in the subject, or does the general course attract higher...

in the end, u have to do what u feel is right, but, think of the people who are doing advanced in your year group, if u put the effort in, can u beat them? sometimes if ur acing the standard course, u can try sumfing more challenging, but usually it is better to top standard than crumble...

stick with it if u love it, cos u'll end up doing well, iof u can handle the workload, go for it i'm doing 14 units it looks like, although i'mm accelerating in 2U maths this year, so i might only have 12 units, also ext 2 english is a 'not sure' for me my courses are SOR 1 English adv...

i have to agree with soul searcher, UAI for year 11 isn't very useful, all the exams and assessments are different for every school, some are easy, and others are hard, so a comparison is very inaccurate
