How different is VET info tech compared to IPT

They can both be pretty bludgy. I can remember for days on end I would play all of my favourite old games on a Sega Master System emulator I downloaded. :p

03'ers.. how far off was SAM for your UAI

Yeah I was wondering about the +/- 0.05. I tried out a few different scenarios with my subjects, and none of them gave a result to 2 decimal places.

    jazzing it up

Diagrams! I found IPT utterly boring at the best of times, and so to study I would draw diagrams or mind maps with relevant information. You could fancy them up a bit if you wanted to. P.S. I assume you were regarding to studying.. if not, ignore post. :D

Yeah I'm like you, hipsta, I'll be spending my time at Auchmuty library. We'll probably pass each other every day and not realise who the other person is. :p

When you come across a word you don't know, do you look up its meaning?

Now that I think about it, it's more often than not that I look up a word purely to ensure that it's the right word I am thinking of. In essays last year, I would often slot words into my sentences and later check that it suits the context of the statement. :p

how do u approach the exam ?

I did the obvious multiple choice answers first, all of the obvious Section II answers, then all of the obvious Section III answers. I then went back and, in order, figured out the harder answers.

UAI Scaling: Advice from a 2003 Student

That's very true, I don't think students should get the impression, though, that doing a subject like English Standard or General Mathematics will no doubt lower their UAI.

    I Give Up!!!

Hate to say it, but without working for it, a mark of 80 might be difficult to get! Especially without doing any practice essays! :)

lol *thinks of questions* Oh I've got one. :) In the Chemistry lab work, do you have partners? If so, did you get to choose your partner? Which one did you find more challenging: Biology or Chemistry? Are the final year exams as hard as people keep telling me? :uhoh: Thanks! :)

    getting around

Hehe, the more info the better! I did Biology in the HSC (got 84) but not Chemistry - which is my main issue. I'm doing the bridging course next week, which I guess is better than nothing. I think I might just need a mentor, lol. :D

    Combined law

Hehe good advice santaslayer! ;) The cut-off could go either way, but I have a feeling it will stay around 92/93. It's jumped up and down over the past few years but has generally stayed within the low 90's.
