Nah I was refering to the whole course and considering: if almost half of Newcastle's students are 1st year (there's a mass exodus with drop-outs/transfers) then the sydney/unsw intake must be much greater - how many students get a UAI of 99.55+ and out of them how many do law?
Off topic...
My teacher (also a uni lecturer) and I were discussing this today.
He says that for a long time and particually under the howard government entry standards have been dropping as universities were required to get lots of bums on seats for maximum funding. Things will probably change under the...
According to the good universities guide that's the amount of people accross the entire course (1st to post grad). Newcastle's is 585 and UNE was 1700ish as well, that's all I remember. Newcastle has a 1st year intake of around 250 (lecture day info) so I'm guessing sydney would be way more then...
Because I want to be fucked by Xerxes. In the poop hole.
Edit: I'm sorry that one sucked, I'm feeling rather unoriginal...
Jumb no offence but do you have big flabby manboobs? everytime I saw your old avatar it was the first thing that came to my head...
Studies of religion 2U: 97/100 rank: 1/51 (but I think my teacher would have punched in 95/100)
Legal Studies: 94/100 rank: 1/21 (my teacher would lift that to 95)
Advanced English: 87/100 rank: 10/182 (might get lifted)
Extension English: 46/50 rank: 1/31
Ancient History: 97/100...
My parents always insist that anyone who gets over 80 is good and that they'd be proud of me...My internal results have been shit strong (check the UAI calculator) and in response my parents have started to push me a bit harder to maintain my average.
I notice more and more that mum mentions...
Apologies for the confusion.
Edit: Nirvana what does your teacher say about the national study question E? they give you a set amount of lines and my teacher tells me you only need to fill those but I always write an extra two booklet pages. Your teacher is the senior marker, what does he/she say?
I know, there just seems to be a common misconception with top students that they need to produce more then the required for everything (perpetuated by my school's shitty english teachers). If you can show them you can ride the bike once you dont need to show them another dozen times.

HSC marking for advanced english = 6 pages is a 'sustained response'. The majority of full marks my mother gave were 6-7 pages. Most two booklet responses (cept the marking centres which were selective schools) were complete rubbish.
Edit: Nirvana what does your teacher say about the national...
Look at the past HSC papers man, the first question is almost always early life whilst the second question is generalised and to do with historical perspectives.
I thought waiting 4 weeks for non existant stimulus material for journeys was worse :P
I had one teacher count the number of words I wrote :S nighty night! oh and I'm adding you to my BoS friends, yaaay!
- They've been marking me down for handwriting all year.
- They don't talk to each other
- They put together segregated classes
- One of them (my teacher) didn't even do his HSC and is banned from teaching advanced english
- They thought that stimulus was going to be issued for journeys this...
I'm okay, advanced is one of my lowest subjects (89 with a rank of 6/184), but the english staff at my school are kinda wacked. I'm topping extension though :D
