What is the difference between a foetus and human besides that humans can exist independently and foetuses must be attached to their mother? Foetuses are less developed, but you could argue children are less developed adults - it's just a stage of life. I still think the foetus is living.

I also don't know what UTS is like but as a Mac student I suggest you look at your subjects for your whole degree and start to have an idea of what you want to do and then make your timetable for the 2 semesters this year.

If I have 2 versions of a picture, one JPEG and the other PNG which should I keep and which should I discard? Why? Which of the 2 is better quality?
