same here with ACCT1501. but after i read and revised the relevant chapter in the textbook, i understood a whole lot better. so read the textbook, it might helps.
or you can do your flexible core/finance subjects this year first, then start MATH1151, MATH1251 + the actuarial subjects next year. you will still complete your degree on time.
hey mature lamb, youre doing b.comm/b.sci (adv maths) right ? i got a few questions in my mind:
- did you do comp1911/1917? is it really hard? is there any way to avoid it?
- when did you know that you would go for applied maths but not pure / stats ? is there any support/help from the faculty...
you havent done math1151 this semester which you must do in sem 1 if you want to major in actuarial. maybe you have to wait til next year.
and here are the flexible courses. choose four courses from the following list: choose ACTL and FINS since you want to major in those two.
ACCT1511...
