    People with Photographic Memory!

You all have ridiculously good memory retention. Cudos to the HSC for the training, probably So you're defining photographic memory as only looking a sheet for a split moment and reproducing it. I'd say that's physically impossible because the eye can only focus on like, 6 words max at any one...

    Should I be worried?

IMO The fact you're going to college makes it so much easier to make friends, you guys have things to do during O week, meal times, etc. Say hi and smile as you walk in corridors and sometimes conversations do come up! Or there's stuff in the common room too

    Police Stabbed by islamic terrorist

I think they us tasers and capsicum sprays and whatnot to neutralize the threat if they're already down?, if they're running at you with a knife then you actually shoot to kill The idea of shooting to kill, as opposed to inhibit or injure, is so that you don't abuse the use of a gun

    Police Stabbed by islamic terrorist

Sometimes it's more than that. Unfortunately, many children today are raised with unsettling family backgrounds, no one cares about them, etc. etc., falls into depression, question the meaning of life, and in their pessimism and lack of hope they decide to join a terrorist group. It's not always...

    Police Stabbed by islamic terrorist

Clarification: A policeman has the right to shoot anyone who is putting the policeman's life at danger. The fact that the teenager stabbed two of them is clear evidence of the danger they were in. That's just the policy of the police force. It doesn't matter whether he was Muslim, terrorist...

    Help please

Can you elaborate on what you mean by 'hard to fail'? I believe they take in the top 30, despite 48 people getting 99.95s in NSW + other interstate applicants. Also, does anyone know if the USyd interviews are as 'harsh' or structured as UNSW med interviews (e.g. having those rotation booths).
  18. C

    getting 99.95....

Another reason apart from USyd combined med is also for scholarships - both degree and accommodation at colleges, which can be incredibly helpful for interstate people too

    Mathematics Olympiad

Seeing that you're completing HSC in 2016, I'm assuming you're in Year 10, which means it's the last year for you to do the AIMO (11 Sept). If you want to get into IMO it's important to do well in the AIMO, get invited into the Olympiad camps, and then compete for a place in the IMO.
