Not sure how other schools would mark this but in mine they wanted a sustained theme of discovery through out ie you could have a metaphorical or literally discovery in the beginning (ie see's a new place or something), have a subtle one in the middle that reveals itself through a motif etc and...

Since this thread seems appropriate does anyone know what it would be like for medicine? Since you need to submit your med application by september 20 iirc? But you dont get your wam until the end of the year yet they require both atar and wam and umat for 1st year uni students?

i used freedom writers, the links are kind of clear between the two if you watch it but i found that elaborating on my points was a little hard. Theres a lot of filmic techniques in it though

i got 99+ atar and did literally nothing in my holidays. Im not saying i encourage this behaviour at all but its not the end of the world if you didnt study much in the holidays, just make sure you catch up asap.

for medentry i think i usually did terrible in section 1, maybe high 20 or low 30 out of 42 for the emotions part and cant remember for section 3. In real UMAT i got 55 for sec 1 , 61 sec 2, 60 sec 3 not sure what percentile it equates to

for math tests my school liked using pre 2000 hsc questions so if youre prepped try going through them and doing the relevant questions, so id say its quite likely your school will use some hsc questions or questions from your schools past papers. Id also recommend trying to finish content with...

get dux of your school (highest atar in your school) and have a UNSW course listed amongst your preferences

In class your teacher might bring up a good point that you might want to put in your essay instead of something you already have or you might find a better way to phrase something
