re: HSC Physics Marathon Archive Give a quantitative comparison! Also, this is relativistic speeds, so mass dilation would occur (would be slight though) Both forces should be in same direction also (I.e., down) Question: Outline Hertz' experiment with radio waves. Include a diagram, the...

    Got rejected from doing subjects?

Odds are the school is doing it for your benefit. That is what so many students do not understand.. Apparently, every single student is going to get 99 ATAR and become a doctor or lawyer.. At least if you ask the student anyway.. As harsh as it sounds, perhaps they are not the subjects for you...

re: HSC Physics Marathon Archive The green glow around the anode at low pressure is not due to the relaxation of the gas molecules in the tube, it is due to the glass itself! Question: (4 marks) An electron travelling in an Easterly direction within the cathode ray of a TV set travels at a...

is matrix physics better or is peaks physic better

The students who have come to me from PEAK all say the same thing and that is that it is good, but the class sizes are too large. So, i'd imagine if you dont mind learning in groups of 20-30 with no time for individual attention, then it should be fine.

    [DOWNLOAD] My Half-Yearly Examination

Orbital decay is definitely in the syllabus ;) Whilst you would never be asked to use in terms of quantitative analysis, you are expected to 'account for orbital decay', this is really just that.

    Torque equilibrium question

OIC, so the current goes through the entire coil, not just the side opposite to where the mass is hanging? If this is the case, then the way they have done it is indeed correct! If the current is ONLY going through the side of the coil opposite to the mass, then the way which I have done it is...

    Torque equilibrium question

Which paper is this from? I'm sure I used this question in my Half-Yearly. Can't remember where i got it from, lol. I forgive you... This time.

    Torque equilibrium question

Be careful, you have equated force with torque! They are different quantities Parv! nBIA is total torque (torque on both sides) You would need to equate mg = BIl I = mg/Bl I = (0.005*9.8)/(81x10^-3 * 0.3) I = 2.01A

    [DOWNLOAD] My Half-Yearly Examination

If anyone has had an attempt at the MC. Please post your answers on here, or PM them to me. I will buy a car for the first person who gets them all correct as even my top students (I am expecting mid-b6) only got 6 or 7 correct.

    [DOWNLOAD] My Half-Yearly Examination

Here is my Healf-Yearly Examination for my 2013 classes. They sat the examination today, overall feedback has been that MC was hard, calculations were hard, but theory was pretty good, which is kinda how I aimed it. Space and Motors and Generators (Upto Generators) Marking scheme will be...

    HSC Physics Marathon 2013-2015 Archive

re: HSC Physics Marathon Archive Yes :) Not only does work need to be done to lift it from the Earth to 600km altitude, work must also be done to make its speed increase to the orbital velocity of an orbit of alitutude 600km. Think about it, change in Ep is just saying 'lifting it from the...
