    Writing in an exam

Bullet point is fine as long as it shows a clear, logical progression of ideas. Cant just be random points written.

    Induction question

Current does flow from end X to end Y, but the current is conventional current! Hence "positive charges" go towards end Y and electrons flow in opposite direction towards end X, thus electrons build up at end X, making X negative with respect to end Y So using RHP rule, fingers point to the...

Trial mark in relation to exam mark

It all depends on the exam on the day! You can only do the best you can do No use worrying about it

    Difficulty of physics

If you can do 2u maths, you will have no trouble with the maths in Physics

    School scaling.

The school I teach at is 400+ (i think), we still get state rankers and Premiers Awards. It's all up to the students as individuals.

    Sydney Technical vs Hurlstone Agricultural

Oh I see :) She must've joined previously. :) thx Apparently your 2012 HSC Cohort is gun. A few expected 99.95ers

    Sydney Technical vs Hurlstone Agricultural

The girl I tutor from Hurlstone said she was going to drop Ag, so you must be able to drop it?

    SC Science 2011 MARATHON

Compare means similarities and differences! Similarities are they both are carriers of energy and can undergo reflection/refraction/diffraction and interference Differences: What you guys said about oscillation, plus only transverse waves can be polarised That's 4 marks. Please remember...

    SC Science 2011 MARATHON

Power loss is proportional to current squared. By using a transformer to step up the voltage, according to the Power equation (P=IV) and consevration of energy, if voltage is increased, current is decreased. Hence, by increasing the voltage, they are decreasing the current and thereby decreasing...

    Pyhsicss Predictions

Exactly what I said to my class. If not this year, then definitely next year. Could ask a question about it in terms of The Prescribed Focus Areas -- i.e., PFA 5 Which is about current issues, research and developments in physics

Physics tutoring -- Need students aiming for band 6!!

LoL, i know :) Yeah, it is a great feeling! I feel extremely happy for them as they all work so hard! Amount of state ranks depends on the candidature, in 2004 there were 20 spots as there were 10,000+ candidates :)

Physics tutoring -- Need students aiming for band 6!!

A 5th student has entered the Saturday class :) From a very good agricultural high school :) Resources are slowly making their way into my student portal :) :) 2 were in the top 5 :) No firsts yet :( Am expecting 1 or 2 very good results, but I don't think any state rankings this year.

2004 hsc question 16 answer thanks :) (basic projectile motion) just want to check

Re: 2004 hsc question 16 answer thanks :) (basic projectile motion) just want to chec The equation for orbital velocity or escape velocity aren't in the formula sheet either, but you definitely use them! :) I have talked to HSC markers, and they say you can use Maths in Physics, which...
