Well this isn't Europe, and if our culture emphasises a finals series then that's fine. It's good revenue for the FFA too (and that's the main reason we've got it)
The serious bottom line answer to the question is because the government pays a major percentage of the very expensive medicine degree, whereas law is a degree the government contributes one of the smallest amounts to. So they don't want to admit people who will waste $$$ by dropping out or not...
Let me make some suggestions for the Liberal party to save them some time:
- Don't make people think you've taken away their rights at work [worth fighting for]
- Get a younger leader who hasn't been around for 100 years or isn't going to quit as soon as you lose an election or isn't...
