Cut-off next round is most likely to be 99.95 with bonus points, unfortunately.

    I'd say so, yes.

    late round offer question

If they have vacancies, then the cut-offs may lower. It's still a lottery. So just do what you want, fix your preferences and hope for the best. If not, and you still want Comm/IT, start making plans to transfer in.

Doing scif courses in semester 1??

good luck graduating when it's part of the degree rules I know a fourth year who had that attitude and he was forced to take it before he could get into Honours.

    late round offer question

Yes, so you'd switch your preferences to get in on the next round. Problem is that next round, cut-offs change. And for Comm/IT which I'm assuming is very popular, the cut-off is most likely going to rise. So you're probably not going to get in. That's why you have like two or three months to...

Which course should I choose? :(

EDIT: Sorry, didn't read properly. Physics uses a good level of maths so if you choose that, you should probably do 1141. But I think Neuroscience uses stats so you'll need to familiarise yourself with it in 1041. So... I'd suggest you do more course research and figure out what you want.

I missed out b.comm UNSW by 0.3 ATAR, whats the chance for late round?

Yeah, that's the contingency plan in these sorts of situations. For high demand courses, like Commerce, cut-offs go up.

    A few questions on timetables/subjects

You can take MATH1131 in Semester 2 and then MATH1231 in the Summer Semester. That's an option.

Doing scif courses in semester 1??

True, one SCIF tutorial was spent doing jigsaw puzzles. It was alright. And yeah Adam West was Batman... so that was a semi-outrage when the people were like 'no it's superman'. And Yellow Shirt camp, eh? I know a guy who encouraged me to apply. I have personal reservations to not apply but...

    Are my walking distances okay?

Or get out of ASB in Level 1, emerge at Quad and go to K17 normally. That's the shortcut I was thinking of.

    MATH1131/MATH1141 Lecturers

Cowling is pretty good. I haven't had Popatov yet though.

    Are my walking distances okay?

ASB to K17 is the larger walk but it's still only three minutes at most. Two if you use the shortcuts.

Doing scif courses in semester 1??

    It's a SCIF thread, we're talking about SCIF - what's the problem?

    Are my walking distances okay?

    Those are fine.

B Commerce: Is it right to do the compulsory courses in the first semester?

That's overloading. You're usually not allowed, I think - unless you have a good reason. So on your Handbook, you'll see 'max uoc per semester'. For me, it's 27. Any more, I have to apply - and they'll look at my marks and see if I'm capable.

Doing scif courses in semester 1??

"too out of hand", biggest understatement ever! Yeah... well, you know. The camp was a bad idea anyway. You could do what they wanted to do at the camp over a series of weeks at uni. Also I never got cheese tasting, and the trivia night was just... ugh. Since when was Adam West, Superman...
