My friend who came 3rd last year thinks he got 116 raw (he didn't pay to get the results officially) so probs around 114+ in the old system, 96+ in the new one (obviously depends on the difficulty of the paper)

Why not? And I'm being serious. Ok I don't want to put pressure or give you a false sense of hope or say that you have to do it but honestly- people change massively from year 10 to year 12- I know I did (especially in some subjects). If you continue getting help with things you don't...

    4U hsc marks

I think 40-50% ends up with a HSC mark around 80 (tiny bit above or below depending on year and whether you're close to 40% or 50%). This is still a decent mark ATAR-wise for 4U because it scales well. Having said all this- maybe you should work more on some theory instead of doing papers if...

    when are assessment ranks released?

Ranks. You won't find out what mark they actually send

    when are assessment ranks released?

This. You'll never find out your actual mark that they submitted to BOS (I guess your teacher can tell you but they're not really meant to). Checking is like a failsafe device

    Digits.

Yay- this is actually a question that I know how to do lol (like the first one you've ever posted haha). I'll post a solution when I get back from lunch unless if someone else has done it sooner

    plans for after HSC?

Going to Queensland :) And just general chilling- beach, PS3, going out with friends etc. It'll be mad being able to wake up and having literally no work (though I'll probs start tutoring sometime after HSC)

    Break Days

Personally I reckon it would be better to take regular breaks in between study than a whole day off. Like after you do a paper, go for a one hour walk or a swim or something- it will clear your mind big time

How many hours a day do you study now?

    And remember bonus points

How many hours a day do you study now?

But we know how unreliable school estimates are... Good luck though- you might make it if you maintain consistent effort

AMEN.. Discriminant, Delta help i am suffering...

Ok- A quadratic either has TWO real roots or NO real roots- it can't have just one. If the discriminant (D) is GREATER THAN OR EQUAL TO zero, then it will have two real roots. If it is less than zero, it will have no real roots. If and only if the discriminant is equal to 0, the two roots will...

AMEN.. Discriminant, Delta help i am suffering...

If the discriminant is greater than or equal to zero, it will have two real roots. Always use this unless you know that the roots are distinct

How many hours a day do you study now?

Holy crap wow- I'm miring hard. Personally I did like 1 hour a day in Y11 and then about 3-4 in Y12- consistency I think is the key thing. Just do as much as you need to understand all your work and you'll be fine. Good luck guys

Not bad haha- I think I got something similar (because I had to explain one or two of my answers to him in person but obviously in the HSC I wouldn't get that luxury :( ). Do you know about 3U?

Is anyone good at HSC Economics? can you explain this to me?

Imports increase in value=Australian's are spending more on imports (this doesn't have to be an increase in price- it could be volume or price or both as long as the net amount that Australia's spend on imports has increased). More money spent on imports=more debits on Current Account=bigger...

When D=0- the two roots are the same. When D>0, the two roots are distinct
