    triple major ?

To some extent, for example in Commerce UWA students can do a Business Law minor. With my Bachelor of Computer and Mathematical Sciences all that the rules state I have to do are: 1 Mathematics/Computer Science Major 4 Mathematics Units (2 at level 1, 2 at level 2) 4 Computer Science Units (2...

    commerce... AND ARTS?

I'd rather someone who has honours than arts - you can allways work on your CFA concurrently aswell. Depending on your degree you may be able to do some arts units - doing a WHOLE degree on arts though I consider to be a waste of time.

Best Comm/LLB major, if you want to be a lawyer.

I personally don't know much about accounting - the legal and/or analytics is what I'd enjoy doing but I only did the one unit on it. Have you considered doing a CFA? That will give you atleast a background in accounting, finance and economics. I'm not sure if you will be able to sit your CFA I...

Best Comm/LLB major, if you want to be a lawyer.

For human rights I would definetly do economics. I recently had a lecture from BHP's enviromental sustiability vice president and he stated the reason he got to where he did is because he had an economics degree as opposed to an enviromental science degree. The difference is that an economist...

Is it ok to do ECMT1010 and ECMT1020 at the same time?

Undergraduate Timetable Semester 2 - The University of Sydney Looks like you can there, doesn't say anything on the unit pages about not doing them together. I assumed in UWA you couldn't do MATH1010 and MATH1020 together but apparently you can.

Best Comm/LLB major, if you want to be a lawyer.

Need to be more specific than saying 'lawyer' if you want an efficent answer. I.e. Finance would be better for a corprate lawyer etc.

anyone for some constructive criticism on my marks? rewarded with many cyber hugs!

Re: anyone for some constructive criticism on my marks? rewarded with many cyber hugs TER = UAI at all Australian unis ATAR may be calculated similar to TER (which is the WA equiv of UAI), they are considered equal and TER is alot easier to calculate TISC Online TEA/TES = % scaled mark of...

I am dropping commerce because maths is more appropriate for the kind of career path i'd like to follow.

Credit/Distinction average in B. Commerce? Job opportunities?

10-12 hrs per week per subject is recommended at UWA = 40-48 hrs a week overall, if you are studying ~50 hrs a week without a HD average doing commerce (which is considered to be quite an easy degree) I'd drop out. Credit average I'd say is basically cramming in the study week before exams and...

    Commerce majors

Depends on the university I'm dropping commerce but my favourite intendend majors were: Quantitative Economics Quantitative Finance Investment Finance Economics Money & Banking UWA is pretty odd though, I would have done 7 majors in my 4.5 year combined course.

    Summer School Statistics

Summer school subjects are NOT supported by HECS. UWA normal maths unit cost = $520 ANU summer maths unit cost = $2500 or something AND it is all online/self study (well that was a stochastic unit anyway)

    Accounting majors

I enjoyed doing accounting and found it to be alot interesting than I thought it would be. We had a project which involved doing the books for a company for a month which took me about 15 hrs, wasn't really dull but I wouldn't want to do that as a career. Some of the advanced topics such as...

TAFE Dip in Accounting to b Commerce

This would be pretty uniform amoungst universities I think, probably harder to get into a G8 uni or something. With Curtin university in WA I know that if you do your normal diploma you can get into second year architecture, I'm not sure about commerce though. You'd need to talk to the...

Bachelor of Commerce at Uni Melbourne

What I liked about the B.Comm degree in Uni of Melbourne is that it is so flexable - aslong as you are interested in doing something for breadth. I ran the UBS Investment Banking competition at UWA this year, most students are from University of Melbourne and their SIFE team is probably the...

    Extra- curricular and cadetships

I doubt your peers will have many extra curriculars on you unless they are from the 'rowing team'-style private schools - all of mine I have picked up during uni. As mentioned in prior posts, you should find something to exagerate.
