    NEED HELP WITH MX 2

Yes but it depends how you go in the externals. Fo all we know, your test might have been piss easy and your mark the equivalent of 40% in the HSC. Or it could be worth 90% in the HSC. If you have the exam, post it up and I'll do it and from my mark you can estimate where you'd rank in the...

    polynomials

I'll give you a hint. If a and b are the roots, then using sums of roots, a+b=-b/a=6i/1 But the modulus of 6i is 6. Now try and extend this- Using sums of roots isn't valid for moduli (i.e. |a|+|b| does not neccessarily equal |-b/a|) but use this underlying principle

ALUMINIUM OXIDE + SODIUM HYDROXIDE + WATER

Al_%7B2%7DO_%7B3%7D+2NaOH+3H_%7B2%7DO%20%5Cto%202NaAl%28OH%29_%7B4%7D Note that this isn't the only correct answer. Depending on factors such as NaOH concentration and temperature, you can end up with different products.

    STUDY HOURS - 99

Studying is about how much you learn. Its not an end in itself, its a way to get to a goal. Some techniques- Create goals and as soon as you are done, stop. Take regular breaks, if you ever lose concentration, don't push through it because that's unproductive- take a small break. Expose yourself...

    Realability, accuracy and Validity?

Our teachers repeat this so much- they call it the target analogy. If I shoot an arrow and they all end up in the same spot (regardless of how bad I miss) I am reliable. If I shoot and I hit the centre, I am accurate. Obviously the aim is to continously hit the centre, thus being accurate and...

    STUDY HOURS - 99

I agree with this. Especially in year 11, that much time is not needed. Try to work more efficiently, take regular breaks to maximise concentration etc.

Music? What's good music to listen to?

Re: Music? What's a good music to listen to?? Try download the UK top 40 or the Billboard 100. This will cover a good range of music so you can work out what you like and is the most popular music of the week so they're (theoretically) good songs (a lot are crap though in my opinion)

    Complex Numbers - Vector question

The whole inequality is true for all values of z1 and z2 but what the question is asking is under what case is there equality i.e. when is ||z1|-|z2||=|z1+z2|

    Complex Numbers - Vector question

Try taking a more general look at the triangle inequality. ANY two sides are longer than the other one. Look at the triangle that has z1,z2 and z1+z2 as the side lengths and try to work out how to manipulate the inequality to give the desired result.

    Complex Numbers - Vector question

Draw out the vectors z1, z2, z1+z2 on the Argand diagram and try using the triangle inequality.

PHYSICS HELP NEEDED - MOVING ABOUT !!!!!

I'll answer this one to show how I'd write it in an exam: - This statement is wrong because it confuses weight with mass. - Weight is a measure of the force that an object exerts due to gravity, according to the formula W=mg - Mass is a measure of the objects inertia, in essence the amount of...

    variations in gravitational field

Yep. At the poles, the Earth isn't rotating at all (try and visualise this if you can). The closer to the equator you get, the faster the Earth at that part rotates. I think there's a formula, something like 464cosx m/s where x is the latitude but I read that formula ages ago so the numbers are...
