    aymptotes

According to my teacher they are not in the 3U syllabus. The textbook we use (maths in focus) also has a question involving an oblique asymptote though. Also searching 'oblique' in the syllabus returns 0 results.

    General Solutions

So I should just add 2kpi when I get a question requiring transformation (and finding a general solution) rather than the formulas? Thanks for the help by the way guys, DJel.

    General Solutions

I have exactly the same working up until the bottom line in the quote. Why is it that we add 2kpi, instead of just finding the angles then putting them into the general solution (from textbook); npi + (-1^n) x angle (where n is an integer) ?

    Quick Question

I think I have been thinking about it in the wrong context. I should be thinking about it in a business or large network context rather than a home network, etc. Thanks, DJel.

    General Solutions

Hi, I am stuck on a couple of trigonometric general solution questions. They are; sin x + cos x = 1 sqrt(3)cos x - sin x = 1I am having some trouble as the answers do not seem to follow the general solutions at all, I can see that the answers work by drawing a graph, but I would like to know...

    Quick Question

I was doing a practice paper and came across this question; I answered C (position 3) as I thought that networks generally went; Node(s)-->router-->modem-->internet. But my teacher believes that D (position 4) is where the router would be. Which one is it?

    Log Integration

Sorry, I probably should have included brackets. The question is; 3^(2x-1). DJel.

    Log Integration

Well from the answer I would gather that the result would have to be either [(a^bx+c)/b In a] or [(a^bx+c)/In(a^b)] thats if an result for this type of question exists. In your first post were you using an actual result? I could not find it in any text book or on any website.

    Log Integration

Thanks for that result, except the anwser is given as; (3^2x-1)/2ln3 +C which would be (3^2x-1)/ln9 + C

    Log Integration

This one has me stumped; Find the indefinite integral of 3^2x-1. Thanks, DJel.

    area integration

    Use the result; the integral of [(ax+b)^n] dx = [(ax+b)^(n+1)]/a(n+1) So for your question; (ax)^1/2 + (ax)^-1/2 = [(ax)^3/2]/a(3/2) + [(ax)^1/2]/a(1/2) + C = 2[root(ax^3)]/3a + 2root(ax)/a + C

    Geometry Question

Hello, I'm drawing a blank on this question and some help would be appreciated. The question is; The area of a rhombus is sqrt(3) cm^2, one of its angles is 120 degrees, find its side length. Thanks for an help, DJel.

    Othello ---> Jealousy?

If you mean the character Othello; From a small Othello text book I have it says that to just put the fact that he kills Desdemona because of jealously is "to gloss over the psychological depth that gives him life in the play. He objectifys Desdemona by refering to her as a 'thing' or at best...
