    Best for Software Engineering

Hi, I was wondering which uni in NSW is considered 'the best' for a software engineering degree? I was swaying towards UTS but some people have told me that Sydney uni is considered to have a better course. I am in year 11 at the moment, doing SDD and IPT coming 1st and 3rd respectively. I do...

    system cooling

Maybe his case doesn't have any front fan bracket? You could always consider saving some more money and buying a new case with, as Excalibur said, a couple of 120mm fans which would provide better airflow. With your current case what sort of ventilation does it have apart from the two 80mm...

    Best Value for a Laptop?

Personally, I like the Asus F3Jv (http://www.asus.com.au/products.aspx?l1=5&l2=26&l3=316&l4=0&model=1357&modelmenu=1). Has nice features, one of the fastest laptop processors you can get right now Core2Duo T7200, 1gb of RAM, Geforce Go 7600, etc. ~$2000...

    Altitude

Hi, I have question I am stuck on. The question is; The sides of a triangle are formed by the lines with equations 2x-y-7=0, 3x+5y-4=0 and x+3y-4=0. (a) Find the vertices of the triangle. (b) Find the exact length of all the altitudes of the triangle. I have worked out (a) the answers being...

Equation of intersector through two lines.

Thanks heaps for that, just wasn't thinking straight I guess. "(I have tried finding the point of intersection of the two given lines and then just continuing the formula on as normal) (and using the gradient as the constant)" As in two different methods not using the POI and gradient at the...

Equation of intersector through two lines.

I'm probably just missing something really obvious but I'm just getting stuck on it. The question: Find the equation of the straight line with gradient of 3 that passes through the intersection of the lines 2x+y-1=0 and 3x+5y+16=0. Using (a1x+b1y+c1) + k(a2x+b2y+c2) where k is a constant. I...

Career Choices: What do you want to do in uni/tafe/the workforce? (merged)

Re: Career Choices: What do you want to do in uni/tafe/the workforce? Hopefully a software engineering degree at UTS. If I can't get in then probably any course so I can hopefully transfer over.

    DET Blocks bored of studies

Yes, I feel that they do block to many. I notice it a lot when I am trying to find tutorials, etc for programming in software design and development. Sometimes the teacher will give us a link that he found (probably at home) and it will be blocked and be no help to anyone. Also they blocked...

What are you learning in SDD??

Can the 'your choice' example be on anything, using any language etc? Or does it has to be restricted to what the class has learnt, e.g C++ etc? Good luck to you to.

What are you learning in SDD??

Hey Shotgun Wedding, just out of interest, what did most people do for the large project that is given in yr 12?

What are you learning in SDD??

I think we are getting held back by those kids who don't do any work. But the lyllenator seems to know what he's doing.

What are you learning in SDD??

Right now we are just doing our term one assessment (we're doing it now because some people switced over and the teacher thought we should do it after half yearlies). Before that just creating databases, messing around with reports, queries etc + some VB tuts from a booklet (copy and paste work).
