Degree means nothing. It's the skills you get from your degree that matters most. Knowledge can be picked up easily once you the skills.

eg. Discrete Maths has 1 tute in wk 1.

The School of Maths initially let people overload because Honours subjects are offered on a 2-yr cycle - students could overload subject that wouldn't be offered in their Honours yr and have those subjects credited to their Honours yr.

If you are doing a combined degree, you can overload through the other faculty.

I concur. There are quite a few Maths/Law grads from UNSW working in IB. Ideally, you should do some financial mathematics and computing subjects (from comp sci and/or applied math). You learn more in a financial mathematics subject than a finance subject.

Does that only apply if you use the prepaid SIM that comes with the mobile and then try to change SIMs? I thought they came in separate boxes so you could just chuck away one. Isn't the box with the mobile like a fresh one - not tampered with by the carrier?

What is a good flip fone that costs between $150 to $200? I am planning to purchase a flip phone through prepaid plan. The ones that I like at the moment are from Optus - either the Nokia 6060 ($169) or the Samsung x640 ($199) (Samsung has a camera). I don't really care about the camera, so...

I don't think uni marks are that important. CR average is sufficient - other qualities become much more important.

Yeah, COMP is really really time consuming. But jigging COMP lectures is the norm - most of the learning takes place out of the classroom.
