UNSW is 4 years because it's focused on humanities. USyd is more focused on economics. UNSW made a new stream where you can study in Economics faculty by studying BIS. Created a new stream called International Business.

Well there are some international studies course which has some law stuff. eg. International Law, International Security... Back to original question. i think it's a better idea to do communication/law. International Studies is like a glorified arts course.
