I don't think the tick box is very important. What is important is the 4 week cycle detailed on the form. Like someone said, if you've put a 1 week cycle in the roster section and signed off on it then you are essentially signing away your sundays. if however you had a 4 week cycle where you...

Had a bit of a look tonight at work and couldn't find a copy of the draft EBA. Also, two things in relation to the new phone system. firstly with the current system and how some people have complained about the "Night Service" prompt being in the way at anytime you can press the Enter button...

Well it has to at least rock up in store by the 20th August. I'll have a look next time i'm working to see if i can find a copy.

I hadn't even thought of that. But you are absolutly right as it stops people using your numbers just because they have a keen eye. I remember before WowPOS came in though there were lots of rumors that we'd have swipe card things since we knew they didn't have keys. I assume the barcodes are...

I'm not sure about the supervisor slip. It would be good if you had the chance to make it single use or something like that but i doubt it. takes me back to using the old registers which used to be more secure with two-factor authentication. it still surprises me to this day that WowPOS reverted...

i prefer the full reboot since it was most likely a printer issue. i know on my computer printer issues normally require a reboot. @quick90 - the current one is on AllYours or the SDA union website.

@reboot Awesome, i know for next time. Perhaps there is a way to be signed onto two registers at once? @phone I don't think you understand. At the moment the woolworths store numbers are public. that is if you ring someone (external) who has caller ID then the number will show up and if its a...

Sorry I mean when they call you up to ask if you can work, etc. At the moment you can see that its woolies calling your mobile phone. I'm worried that the new ones will come up as "Unknown". And yeah, i know you can force sign off but i never like to do that because when you reboot when its...

Also, forgot to mention that my register shit itself today. When it went to print the docket it froze and exited out to the desktop. I then had to select Start > Shutdown > Reboot, etc. Worst thing is that they take your numbers down with them when they break.

I hate night mode. Stops me being able to see what I want to see on the screen. I doubt my store will get rid of nightmode though, they love having it on and making all the phones ring. if it is disabled though i think most stores will probably make the office person take the duty manager phone...

yeah. we have it. i think everyone was probably sick of it, the produce manager doing PA sales and myself doing PA sales by the end of the day. but i sold a lot of wine so i don't care. i still haven't gotten use to using the new phones for PA sales but at least i didn't hang up on anyone today

I highly doubt they will replace them with iPhones but if they did they wouldn't have to install new antennas. The new phones and RF guns run over WiFi. The older brick RF guns and old phones used to run on separate systems which meant there were lots of antennas everywhere. they have cut down...

Not sure, i've never encountered it before. I'm pretty sure you could look it up in ISIS under item management. There is a POS tab where all the little settings like "ask for ID", "prompt for quantity", etc.

Yeah, basically for business transactions if people request it we can provide it. I think it also has the option to type in a customer name as well. it probably has a behind the scenes feature related to GST and stuff like that. i've only used it once when i sold a pallet of Homebrand 3kg Sugar...

If thats the case the butchers at my store need to start monitoring their language last week. Haha. I think people would ask the obvious question "Where are the carcases? And will see how much stuff like sausages and roasts come in prepackaged. We really only cut up steaks, make beef mince and...

And by selecting the "Add ABN" button you can add customer details as well if they have an ABN to make it nice and clear the sale is from one ABN to another.

On the topic of reminders. How annoying is it when a register doesn't get used during the day so when you go to spot check it or take the draw out at the end of the night you get 1 million "Send Pickup" messages. A funny story related register messages though I remember one time the AFL grand...

Must be a major metro store to have a separate Kosher area. Having never lived in the city the concept of a instore Sushi department and seperate Kosher department seem weird. I wonder if they are actually woolworths employees or if its subcontracted out.
