Summer school is paid up front. You do normally get better marks (my friends who did econ110 summer school all got HDs) - but failure rate is higher (thats because summer school is normally for the people that have failed it before).

How do you know they scale the raw marks? This isn't the HSC so you don't know for sure they scale crap... I know for a fact that for comp115 (friend emailed lecturer and asked), they didnt' scale it down - they just readjusted the weightings of the assessments. Everyone always talks...

Yea.. question 4. Its the hardest one in the exam. I got it out by fudging it.... Like things didn't balance, was out by a few $$$ so just search for the missing $$$ When you get to accg101, fudging is real important =P

How do you know that flyin' Quit speculating until I see some hard core evidence. There is no possible way you can know that unless you slept with a lecturer or asked them personally... so which one was it??? The only subject I know 100% gauranteed that is scaled up is ACST211.

The top bit is worth 4 marks - you get the directions wrong who gives a shit... They can't penalise you for the adjustment process in the next bit if you did it right just coz you got the initial two directions wrong

you know..... Farmer (lecturer for ACST211) said that STAT171 marks are an indicator of how well you'll do in ACST211... and that ACST151 marks are a poor predictor in how well you'll do in 211... hehe

I never did ECON at school either... BUT I also verified with class mates... and basically 2 of the smartest guys in 2nd year ACST said the same thing as Isaaq... And for the 2 years that I've known them, they haven't been wrong bout too much, if anything at all... And btw, I wasn't...
