How many jobs have you had?

Just be careful because lots of jobs sometimes can make you look like you don't know what you want or that you are hard to work with. Also when you turn over jobs a fair bit it looks to a prospective employer that you might not stick around for long and so any training they pump into you might...

How many jobs have you had?

Around 10 job descriptions for about 30 different companies. On my resume I list the 3 highest positions otherwise it would be close to a novel.

why did you chose the degree you are doing?

Sure why not? You need to understand that 15 years estimate is really 5 if you know what you are doing so it's not that long a time period. Who says I am not also a businessman at the moment? I find restricting people to one stereotype is often useless, yes I teach but I don't find myself at...

    concurrent uni degrees

I work as a full time IT teacher for TAFE NSW. The concurrent qualifications so far have been a masters and a grad dip in education one at USQ the other at CSU. Next year I will go for 2 masters at the same time which should be good, one at USQ one at Curtin. Learning is just one of those things...

    concurrent uni degrees

Everyone has the same amount of time, different people just choose to spend it differently. My major advantage is I work as a full time teacher so my work week is pretty flexible, none of this sitting in an office 9am-5pm 5 days a week even when there is no work on. Once you figure out how uni...

    concurrent uni degrees

Yeah I do, both are full time external though (8 subjects a semester). It seems to be more common to do uni and TAFE at the same time rather than 2 sets of uni.

Bachelor of General Studies, as broad as you want it to be.

    Retail or Filing?

Apply anyway and see how you go, you might not even make it to the interview and it'll be good practice. If you do make it then you could try holding out for $25 an hour

why did you chose the degree you are doing?

I'm already paying it back now, but if I accumulate more now it's all a tax write off and really the average amount I have spent on HECS a year is how much some people pay for short duration "professional" courses. Masters are pretty reasonable, mine range in $480-$2000 per unit, education is a...

why did you chose the degree you are doing?

Chose my first degree (B.CompSci) because I liked computers, found out I hated the science of computers so switched to a BInfoTech and got the hell out of town (graduated). Second piece of paper was for work (GradDipVocEd). Third was for a bit of a laugh (MOE). Next one will be in case I...

    Going on Exchange to Israel

Well i'm somewhere in the Middle East at the moment but nowhere near any hotspots so to speak and it's relatively safe around here. I do however wish you good luck getting into most arabic nations after you have an Israeli visa stamp or anything related to it in your passport though. Which...

    Tafe and Uni

I did a Masters at one uni, grad dip at another and a cert 4 at TAFE all at the same time without problem. It's your education you do whatever the heck you feel like paying for.

    Tax deductions

Only if it relates to your current occupation and not a possible future career or position. Of course it depends on your accountant on how far they would push this. I deferred my HECS/PELS last year and wrote it all off anyway because it was work related.

    Tax deductions

Do you have a job at the moment? I wrote off all communication and marketing type textbooks because I was sort of working sales during uni, plus I had my own company so all business related things were good to go too :D I couldn't do it with HECS at that stage but I am doing PELS through self...

    Inherited $5000, wat do do?

Not at all, hypocritical would be someone professing to believe in a faith that does not allow you to drink alcohol, goes around enforcing the no alcohol law and then ducks down to the pub for a beer, that is hypocrisy. The jews say you should not charge another jew, now if a jew goes out and...

    Inherited $5000, wat do do?

Obviously your grasp of english and the definition of the term "hypocrite" is different from almost every other english speaker in the world, but that's ok english is an evolving language. You just have to remember some words have pretty set definitions already. Get out into the world and...

    Inherited $5000, wat do do?

You small minded people should really get out of your little cardboard box once in a while. Usury is a no no in many religions but still happens. "Usury (in the original sense of any interest) is scripturally and doctrinally forbidden in many religions. Judaism forbids a Jew to lend at...
