Minor freak-out: How are we meant to remember EVERYTHING for Trials/HSC?!!?!

You've got ages, calm down. Keep studying on a regular basis (and cramming before major tasks, because realistically you're going to have to do that too) and you'll be fine. Seriously, many, many years' worth of HSC students have gone through exactly this process, learned what they needed to...

So, exactly how hard is it?

EE2 is really, really rewarding. Tough at times, yes, but also not as tough as it's made out to be. If you reckon you could write a full (and good) suite of poetry (couple of thousand words) over the course of a year and you're an independent worker, then go for it. The hardest bit of the MW...

    How to stop procrastinating???

Procrastination is just something you need to learn to deal with. I struggled with it all the way through high school and nothing has changed at uni. Keep your mind on your goals, break tasks up into little bits rather than imagining one huge chore and don't get down on yourself when you bail...

Is it true uni is more relaxing than HSC year?

Nahhh. Ten days is forever :). It feels like this semester has gone pretty quickly, though.

    ee2 reflection statement

Explain the purpose of your work, how you achieved that purpose, why you chose the style/form/features that you did and how they further your work's concept, who your intended audience is, how your topic links to the Advanced or EE1 course, what model/theoretical research was particularly...

Is it true uni is more relaxing than HSC year?

+1 Except I don't have anything due until 10 June now so uni is once again relaxing as I'm back in the habit of, you know, ignoring it.

    English essay

Memorised by writing twice by hand and listening to it on the train on the way in that morning. I spent a lot more time memorising my HSC ones, though, just to be on the safe side lol. So maybe three hours for in class assessments, not including the time it took to write the essay itself?

    ATAR Estimate Feedback <HELP>

My school was ranked around the 180s and I think you're going to need to improve your rankings if you want 85+. Still achievable, but pick up in English and Business especially.

Dear lefties, Rudd is a CRIMINAL who has BETRAYED you

Except our only real alternative is Tony "abortion is a national tragedy and hey, how about a return to the at-fault divorce system? BTW UNEMPLOYED TO THE MINES!" Abbott. I'm not happy with either option (hence Greens) but the fact is that someone will be in charge and I'd rather it not be Abbott.

    Which subject should I drop?

You may love Maths, but it's going to do you no favours like that. Bite the bullet and drop down.

Is it true uni is more relaxing than HSC year?

Neither do I. Except I seem to remember being a lot more disciplined last year, gah.

    ATAR estimate please???

I didn't say I only did Maths, English and Modern in year 12. Look at my sig, I did 14 units. I said that my ATAR - when it was calculated - was made up of 4 units of Maths, 4 units of English and 2 units of Modern History.

    Lecturer Quotes

Lolol must be a trend :). ... I especially liked the seminar where that same instructor wrote "CUNT" "MOTHERFUCKER" "WANKER" and "PRAT" up on the whiteboard and then proceeded to go through and evaluate the offensiveness of each. Esp cos he has a very British accent and I'm one of those people...
