HSC vs university - which is more stressful?

Tbh, I find uni less stressful! I remember that things got heated up during HSC trails as we all competed for top rankings. At uni, no one gives a shit what you get or how well you performed. However, you still have to stay competitive; in the sense that you as an individual need to score...

UNSW vs USYD vs Macquarie vs UTS Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering!!!

Based from my friends' experiences who all go to USYD, UTS, UNSW and UWS. This is how I'd order it in terms of rankings: 1. UNSW - well balanced. 2. UTS - strong emphasis on practical 3. USYD - a lot of emphasis on theory 4. UWS - you'd be lucky if you get into a decent firm.

A direct and harsh honest question to MQ/UTS students. DO you ever feel embarrassed?

Re: A direct and harsh honest question to MQ/UTS students. DO you ever feel embarrass I went to the Ernest & Young 'meet and greet' program the other day and had a chance to speak to numerous commerce/law grads who got in last year. Approx. ~40 people get in each year and you need to maintain...

The Official UTS Subject Reviews Thread (Table of Contents on First Post)

Subject Name: Accounting for Business Decisions A Subject Number: 22107 Faculty: Business Semester: Autumn 2013 Ease: 7/10 - This subject is considered as one of the 'hardest' 1st year business subject due to the high failure rate and turnover ratio. However, I believe that the difficulty of...

A direct and harsh honest question to MQ/UTS students. DO you ever feel embarrassed?

Re: A direct and harsh honest question to MQ/UTS students. DO you ever feel embarrass I would pick the one who performed well in the interview (interpersonal skills) and had a better 'profile' in terms of extra-curricular work. I went to the USYD opening day, and it appeared that 'most' of the...

A direct and harsh honest question to MQ/UTS students. DO you ever feel embarrassed?

Re: A direct and harsh honest question to MQ/UTS students. DO you ever feel embarrass No. I also received an offer for USYD pharmacy, as it was the 'next' thing after medicine. If I wanted, I could've applied for Commerce/I.T. at USYD and would've received an offer via the means of bonus points...

    Newstep???

Stop 'thinking' and start acting. You still can get a decent atar if you start to put in the effort from today. I know some students who were at the bottom of the cohort and had a massive comeback after the HSC exams (as they had performed well in the actual exam). Your 'ranks' serve as a...

    Medical Science or Advanced Science?

Nws :) UWS pathway is far easier than UNSW pathway. However, the competition is still intense. It is relatively easy to maintain a GPA of >5.5 in the course (almost everyone in the courses meet the threshold), it just comes down to the UMAT to select those students for the interview. Once you...

    Medical Science or Advanced Science?

UWS Medical Science (Adv), but I heard that UWS Adv Science is more flexible in terms of choosing units! Why UWS over any other uni? Because it is easier to get into med at UWS through the Adv Science/Medical Science Adv pathway. It lowers your GPA expectation to 5.5 (from 5.75) and you need...

    Spring Semester Orientation.

G'day everyone, I have a question (specifically aimed at uni students); Is it okay to attend the upcoming orientation if you missed out on the 1st orientation (at the beginning of the year)? I know that the spring orientation, starting on the 22nd is designed for new students starting next...

UTS Business or Macquarie Prof. Accounting

Actually.. http://www.businessandeconomics.mq.edu.au/undergraduate_degrees/business_economics_degrees_by_name/accounting Macquarie is 53k for Accounting (a bit higher than Business at UTS). But do keep in mind that the Business average is for all majors (not just accounting); so the 52k+ for UTS...

Here are the graduation salary/destination figures for UTS. http://www.uts.edu.au/about/university/facts-figures-and-rankings/uts-graduate-employment As you can see, Business/Law/Design/IT & Engineering graduates are top performers at UTS (in-terms of salary and graduation prospects). But I'm...

    Uni courses :o

I once was in your shoes. I could've done medical science adv, science adv or pharmacy @ USYD and hoped to transfer. But I wasn't willing to take the risk as it was too great. So I did Business (something I never did in high school) and IT (something I liked and did well in high school)...

Special exam results, when is it going to be released?

Don't panic. My mate also did this special exam for one of his subjects, and he didn't get any grade/mark. I suggest that you wait 3-4 days before you contact your course coordinator.
