How many units are you taking? You should go ahead with it - if you can't handle it, there's always the option of dropping it later. Year 9 means nothing tbh, and if you're really determined you can start catching up / preparing in the summer holidays.

Because of all the first ranks you have, you can do pretty much whatever you like with them at this stage - it's all up to you to pwn the externals. I suggest you not worry about this and just concentrate on doing well =)

Depends on the particular program, I think, but quite a few of them do have ITEs during the summer. The reason they do this is so that you can finish your degree in a reasonable amount of time.

I would say go as high as you can go - it really helps for maths. Try out 3 unit as well! The workload is a bit higher, but it will make 2U exams a lot easier.

Cambridge for 4U isn't absolutely the best, but 3U/2U definitely are...but there's heaps of threads on this already I believe.
