Can schools reject you of doing a subject?

If studying maths Extn 2 means so much to you, is it viable to go back to your old school?

Can schools reject you of doing a subject?

Sounds like you respond better to more challenging material, which is an argument you could make to your teachers.

If a chemical reaction is exothermic, why is its reverse reaction always endothermic, and vice versa?

All molecules exist with a specific level of potential energy (the two dotted horizontal lines in the diagram). The fixed difference between the sums (levels) of the potential energy of the reactants vs the products determines if the reaction is exothermic or endothermic but like a landscape...

    How do I do this

Which is, as your table so nicely shows visually and to help those who are also doing maths to remember, the formula for the nth triangular number.

Sounds like you may have come across Bendicks’ signature bittermint chocolate which is an occasional product at Aldi. My favourite chocolate hands down.

    Biology Stimulus Based/Skills

@hiiitsme, very happy to help in this thread and the broader forum when I am able, but I’ve not looked at the syllabus and therefore am not really sure I can necessarily help with maximisation of marks.

    Help pls

    It’s just adding the four areas (each is approximately the shape of a trapezium). Total Area = 7.5x (8.8 + 7.1)/2 + 7.5x (7.1 + 9.8)/2 + 7.5x (9.8 + 8.5)2 + 7.5x (8.5 + 4.9)/2 = 7.5x [8.8 + 2(7.1) + 2(9.8) + 2(8.5) + 4.9]/2 = 242 m^2 (to nearest square metre) The second...

    Selective Entry Thread 2021 (Lockdown)

What a ludicrous attitude - my son is in a school ranked about 400th and he is very good at maths & science. Lucky he doesn’t need tutoring, they’d never accept him.🤣

Is it too much to ask for a job/career in arts, social science etc etc that pays good, has very good job growth and highly satisfying?

There are always nurse positions advertised weekly in almost every location. WRT high school teaching positions, the ability to teach physics as a science teacher or extension 2 as a maths teacher are highly sought. Everything else is quite competitive.

    Module 8 Infrared spectroscopy

The sample cell is where you place the unknown substance of interest which you are interested in identifying or quantifying. The reference cell is for comparison. In qualitative analyses, the reference cell is often a blank (the cuvette container alone or with distilled water) whilst in...

    inverse help

Pencil in your graphs (e.g. unbroken line for original curve & dotted line for the inverse graph). Place a mirror on the line y=x to check if your sketch of the 'flipped' graph matches the mirror image of the original curve. You'll have to flip your mirror around (eg. first check all points...

If you’re on top of the 5.3 maths syllabus, you should be fine at BHHS. I’ve occasionally helped a nephew who goes there - I honestly don’t see that their progress through stage 5.3 is much, if at all, ahead of the top class at our local school.

    bio question

The vaccines target tumour specific antigens (TSAs) which are antigens produced solely, or at least much (much) more, by cancer cells. They are often proteins that have had some function during embryonic development but are no longer required so their production is switched off, but because...
