What state are you in? I know for a fact that in NSW under 18 cannot sell smokes. We just did the tobacco training for it no long ago (man I hate training)

Could be limited to NSW as NSW law is very strict on cigarettes (smokes to be hidden and can only be served on one register by someone over 18)

We had a supervisor under 18 and our new Store Manager really let my CSM have it about it. He said it was against company policy and it does make sense. They cannot serve in liquor or smoke shop and that is where most of our refunds get taken

Yeah a memo went to all the stores cause they wanted unity. We are suppose to all call it Priority One

Might aswell have it as "Set Condition One to Frontend" or something then lol

Until it is busy and no one is answering your priority ones and you are supervising and doing self serve/smoke shop in order to get people through =/

From my experiences our CSM asks all the senior supervisors who they will think would be best to be a supervisor then she asks them. But I am sure every store is different

Yeah we "had" someone like that until they got moved to a less customer oriented department. She now stacks shelves =D

All those signs will really get to me if they have this at my store. So many large colours and bold print o.O

Best thing would be to talk to your CSTM or your 2IC about it. There is a reason you supervise and she does not so they may be able to fix it for you =)

Had nine hours in self serve yesterday. Was dead... so dead I stood there and bitched to my CSTM for a good three hours about various things haha

Although they are not a requirement they are very useful for when someone secures in when they go home (happens alot) or other various reasons. As for citrix.. less important as all I ever do on them is credit card checks really.
