    Whats better?

depends really on the person you are. if you are motivated and study a lot then the lower ranked school will be enough. but if you are not really that motivated and get easily sidetracked, then a top 30 school will probably give you a much better working atmosphere that will help you study...

Does 2U count if you do 4U Maths?

i havent looked at the 3u syllabus specifically but 3u didnt seem like that much on top of 2u. like one or two extra formulae per topic isnt that much, except when you get to motion, then things get crazy. ummm, no. unless you have proof to back this up I wont believe ya since it makes no...

Does 2U count if you do 4U Maths?

if you can breeze through 2u maths and come 1st in the hsc, chances are that if you had picked up 4u maths and tried to breeze through and relax like you did 2u, you would still get a mark that would be better than the 100% in 2u after scaling.

If we get notification early, can we ask for them to push it back?

AFAIK law states 2 weeks, ie 14 days. so you have reason for complaint

    Radians and Trigonometry.

I'm assuming that this particular problem is from question 1 (possibly question 2) of the hsc paper? there is usually a question very early on that is complex and is simply there to test that you do know how to use a calculator. the question by OP involved a lot of bracket work, one mistake and...

Exchange rates ~ Try to explain...

Ok, thanks. I've thought some more about it, and seem to understand it better, but not fully. Floating is simple. Fixed is...fixed, but does the central bank buy and sell domestic currency in order to keep it at that fixed price, or does it stay wherever they set it? my understanding is that...

What to do? Short story help.

realise that you are doing ee2 and get over it. for some people they are writing a story that they love and they when they write they think of rainbows and love and write from the heart. but for others it gets repetitive and reading and writing about the same thing for several months just...

The Impacts of Decreasing Interest Rates, Decreasing Inflation, Less Consumer Confide

Re: The Impacts of Decreasing Interest Rates, Decreasing Inflation, Less Consumer Con decreasing interest rates means it costs less money to borrow while if you save money, banks give you less interest. so generally people and businesses borrow more and save less.

    What you hate about UNSW

you do of course realise that certain courses are fixed? its not like psych where they hold repeat classes in the afternoon. I second the stairs remark. we need some escalators

Awesome video on understanding the credit crisis

ouch! a little bit touchy there, arent we? I just watched the vids and they are indeed interesting and simple to grasp, but are really making it complicated. it really just boils down to people were being given mortgages when they shouldnt have because banks wanted more money. the term...

Exchange rates ~ Try to explain...

from memory: floating is just determined by the free market (ie S & D) fixed: is fixed. flexible: can move up and down but not too much is managed the same as flexible peg? where it is floating but each day it is pegged at a certain point. i doubt your textbooks have conflicting...

    Time management

oh ok, thats same as myself. well I think you need to do some study before dinner. pick the subject that has the least amount of work and do it before dinner. perhaps start at 4:30 and stop at dinner but you are already studying 4 hours/night. if you are listening in class (which means you...

    Time management

i think your problem is the time at which you start to do your homework/study. if you are starting late, around 9pm, then you wont get enough done. you need to start early. I would try to do any english work before dinner, and depending on when exactly you eat dinner, you might even be able...

Advice on Subject Selection for Yr 12

sounds good to me. id also consider dropping to 1u SoR (if ur at a catholic school) or all together unless you are completely dominating the subject, ie it will definately be one of your best 10 units. or if you are enjoying it.
