There are tonnes of laptops around uni. If you rely exclusively on uni machines, you'll have to contend with everyone else who wants to use them. There's a mix of notebooks and netbooks, it really depends on personal preference.

I was talking about this with someone the other day who said ANU appears to have ~40 engineering grads a year... Accommodation is difficult if you're not getting benefits and possibly scholarships.

In a double degree you generally can't take any out-of-faculty courses, so you won't be able to study Chinese within a BCom/LLB.

ANU's School of Engineering isn't the best at undergraduate teaching, from everything I've heard from a number of Engineering friends. On the other hand, atmosphere is very important, and I haven't regretted coming to ANU in that regard.

If you managed 98.55, you could get an HD average if you tried hard enough. Just wait a few more weeks until you've got more work back, then you'll be able to make a more accurate assessment of where you're at.

I'd recommend considering Advanced English. Otherwise, your subjects don't scale particularly well or particularly badly - but they're definitely relevant to the degree you want to do. edit: Also I think Modern would be more useful. I went in to a Politics/IR degree with no history background...

Yes, you'll get the bottom mark of your cohort's external exams. There's no need for a special procedure for selective schools - the whole point of the system is to provide a standardised process for everyone.
