UAC Offers 2011 - Downloadable [now with the Early February Round!]

Re: UAC Offers 2011 - Downloadable I wonder if the cutoff is 99.95 because only one person actually applied for it and they just so happened to have 99.95? :P

Fees for Combined Law @ UNSW?

Because if you have a CSP, you pay student contribution instead.

How many max straight hours [no breaks] do you have at uni?

I've never had any more than two hours in a row. Yay for degrees that don't involve actual work. :P

Fees for Combined Law @ UNSW?

    No.

    Living at campus?

I live on campus at the ANU and it's been great so far. There are advantages and disadvantages: the location is great for getting to class, and the community aspect is good too especially if you're not from the area. Also if you can't cook (like me) a catered college is very useful. The...

Fees for Combined Law @ UNSW?

Separate. If you have a fee-paying place (DFEE or International), then you pay fees directly to the uni. If you have Commonwealth-supported place (CSP), which most domestic students and Australian citizens have, then you pay student contribution either through the uni or through the Tax Office.

Fees for Combined Law @ UNSW?

The student contribution rate is expressed in $ per Equivalent Full Time Study Load (EFTSL). A typical unit will be 0.125 EFTSL as it's 1/8 of your year's courses. So assuming the fees for Law are $9080 per EFTSL, and $9080 per EFTSL for Commerce, you'll be charged $1135 per unit, for both...

UAC Offers 2011 - Downloadable [now with the Early February Round!]

Re: UAC Offers 2011 - Downloadable I suppose so. It's not marked with a V by any chance?

    ANU/Canberra 2011 Rollcall

That's a bit odd, it seems CHIN1012 and CHIN1013 Lecture A clash. Although it does specify the same venue, so perhaps it's a common lecture between the two courses or something? And you're right, it seems you do have to do both of them. You'll also have to pick tutorials and they look like they...

    Effort required?

Yes, it's definitely dependent on natural ability and which methods of study work best for you. I put in very little effort during the HSC (you'd be lucky to get me to spend an hour a week on homework, let alone study above homework) and ended up with 93.05, whilst others in my class put in so...

UAC Offers 2011 - Downloadable [now with the Early February Round!]

Re: UAC Offers 2011 - Downloadable I'm not sure if QTAC publishes offers in the newspapers, which is the source material for this list. A cursory search on Factiva yields no results unfortunately, but do you know if the Courier-Mail or a similar paper publishes lists?

Does enrolling into a course mean...

They can issue less offers than places. However, according to UAC: "A letter ‘V’ shown in brackets after the cut-off indicates that some places may be available in the Early February Round. Vacancies could also arise in some courses not marked ‘V’. This will not be known until after...

UAC Offers 2011 - Downloadable [now with the Early February Round!]

UAC Offers 2011 - Downloadable [now with the Early February Round!]

Re: UAC Offers 2011 - Downloadable I knew I was going to stuff something up. :/ Looks like I've forgotten to include one page from Weinberg to York. I'll see what I can do...

    ANU/Canberra 2011 Rollcall

You can (that's what I'm doing). For Pol Sci, there's only one course in first semester you can take (POLS1002 Introduction to Politics), but if you want a course for IR you can also take EURO1004 Europe in the Modern Era (haven't done it, good course apparently). Of course it's not what you do...

    Student Number

Student number/Uni ID is on your enrolment form which you'll receive in the post in the next few days. Enrolment for all students (except straight BA) is in person at Melville Hall, on the dates listed in your enrolment package. If you're in a residence they'll probably organise a group trip...

Late Round Offers & Alternative Pathways

FAQ: Late Round Offers Can I accept my Main Round offer and still get Early Feb Round offers? YES. If you get a Main Round offer, ACCEPT AND ENROL ASAP. You may or may not get a later offer, so accept to guarantee your place now. This is what UAC recommends. If you do get a later offer and...

Post your 2011 University Offers here

Company is great. Go read it! Now! Can't wait for Machine Man to come out in book form. Anyway, back on topic... I didn't get any offers. :/ Although... that's because I'm already in uni :P

    ANU/Canberra 2011 Rollcall

Yes, you'll get a package about enrolment in the coming days. This is separate from accommodation. Accommodation offers will be made online, and apparently offers are starting to come out now. Keep checking your email regularly for the next few days - at some point they'll email you about an...
