    hardest chem questions

    i got the answer. i left myself with the following equation at the end: n = 63k -48 -x (where k is an interger - the stoichiometric ratio in the neutralisation) and just by guess work i figured out if x is nitrogen x = 14 hence n=1 which happened to work with the stoichemetric ratio is there a...

    n (limestone) = \frac{10}{40+12+16+16+16} = \frac{1}{10} n (HCl) = cv = \frac{100}{1000}*2 = 0.2 Now CaCO3 + 2HCl ---> CaCl2 + H2O + CO2 Therefore CaCO3:HCl 1:2 therefore twice as many moles of HCl are needed Hence there are zero moles of HCl left over ??

    sorry, that doesn't make a lot of sense to me. i understand the polarity coming from the central electronegative oxygens but why would this dissolve organic (i.e. non polar) liquids

    Aligning

    yeah, it seems ridiculous that a 72 in mx1 aligns to the same mark as 100 in mx2 a 72 is mx1 is about 1000 times easier

    anyone else think there was a mistake in the test? in 5ai i swear they fucked up resolving of vectors they used theta to obtain there result instead of 90 - theta and hence sin would become cos etc i ended up just using theta to get there result but i swear they did it wrong
