    PDHPE Predictions/Thoughts

Depends on your performance in yesterday's exam, which obviously contributes 50% of your final mark, but that looks like a strong Band 6 from face value (maybe a 94-95).

    marking

I've really never got the reasons why they do that (the obvious reason being that they don't have time to mark practice papers from everyone or that they have to teach other lessons); but if this isn't the case, you would think that teachers want their students to do well in external exams, as...

    PDHPE Predictions/Thoughts

I think most teachers (if not all) definitely mark more harshly for internals than how HSC marks mark the HSC exams, for 2 main reasons. 1) By teachers marking harshly, it prepares students to be conscientious of the small details, which can differentiate a low Band 6 student from a high Band 6...

    Math Advanced Prediction/Thoughts

HSC raw marks says about 95, but depending on the difficulty of the exam (which most of the BoS threads have agreed to it being difficult), it could be more.

It could be that, but I would hope they think that the quality of education/teaching would have dropped a lot this year due to online teaching, which as we all know, can definitely have many problems.

I believe this was the exam.

    Math Ext 1 Predictions/Thoughts

Could it have potentially been a 'Harder 3U' topic question? I might be wrong, but I believe that still is assessible.

Agree with the points raised above, and also noting that everyone has been in the same situation (very difficult as I can definitely imagine), but the most important thing is that everyone is again on a level playing field.

I think that's exactly the way I was trying to word my response but I just couldn't put the words together like that.

    Math Advanced Prediction/Thoughts

I think I didn't phrase it the right way, but what I should have said is that with topics like differentiation and integration, at a 2U level, there is a set way (using the rules of course) to go about any given problem. With probability, I just found it quite difficult to grasp all the concepts...

    Writing Booklets Were Too Small

It's been like this for a while, I believe (not sure how long though). It can definitely get very tedious having all the extra booklets, as you will have to essentially put them on the floor to give you space for the question booklet and writing booklet. I think with myself, apart from question...

    Math Advanced Prediction/Thoughts

I'm not sure if people will agree with me here or not, but I'd say probability is probably the hardest topic in 2U; not because of the content or difficulty, but just because of how obscure and technical it can get.

    Math Ext 1 Predictions/Thoughts

Oh yh, last year's one was definitely much easier than this one. I've completely forgotten all 4U knowledge so won't be able to make an accurate judgment, but with this year's exam, it looks like it starts to get difficult from Question 15, whereas with last year's one, only 16b was difficult...

    Math Ext 1 Predictions/Thoughts

That's probably one of the only comments I've seen which had said this year's 4U exam wasn't too bad ... the rest of the comments I've read have said it was so much worse than last year

    NEED HELP!

When you create a to-do list everyday, try to write down the times (start to finish) for when you get every thing completed. The chance is, you think you are doing work for 2-3 hours, but in reality, only 1 of those may be productive. It helps knowing how much time you need to approximately be...

Advanced math or Standard math with a bridging course later on?

Also remember that going to tutoring for any subject is only for extra guidance or for an extra push. So you shouldn't be relying completely on a tutor to get to where you want to. The best students may or may not have tutors, but what they have in common is that they work their socks off. So I...

    Maths Ext 2 Predictions/Thoughts

Given most people have said it was very difficult (although it's not accurate to extrapolate a small BoS community to the entire state who would have done the exam), I'd say low 70s (as usually, it's around 74-75 for a Band 6), but these are all predictions based on trends.
