Is that 40 out of 50 or 40 or 50 out of 100? Also in your HSC that 95 isn't gonna show up as a 95. Even if on your Record of Achievement it says 95 that's gonna work out to like 80. Each to his own I guess.

It's Ruse. The entire school got Band 5 minimum in virtually everything, so our school doesn't give a shit about school cert marks. I went from bottom class in Year 10, to bottom 3U class in Year 11 to 4U in Year 12. It's very very doable if you try.

If you're getting 50 in 2U it's virtuallly impossible that you're gonna get 90 in General. Plus even at 100 General's scaling affects you pretty badly, it goes down to 91. That's terrible. Mid to high 90s will drag it down further. Best advice is do past papers. That's what will help you. IT...

IF you're getting 50s in 2U you won't get 90s in General. It's not that simple. Keep 2U, and actually use a textbook and work extra finishing questions, and do past appers etc. Get yourself a tutor.

The latter definitely. 3/4 Maths is very easy to achieve high marks in due to the low percentiles required. Fairly sure if you're aiming a ~97 in 2U that you'd be able to get 95 in 3U/4U easily.

You're pretty much on the money there. For 98th percentile you need to beat 98% of the state, i.e. come in the top 2%.

Pretty much the combo I have my heart set on when I go to Uni (with a bit of luck I can get a Scientia for Comm/Eco and do an Economics 3rd major.

I went 0->2 hours a day. Now I do 3 a day for Maths. Fun! Also in my school if you don't fail the Year 10 Yearly you do 3U, if you do fail, 2U unless you only failed by a bit, which case 3U trial (fail in Year 11= drop to 2U]).

I write ~900-950. 950 is a struggle. I have to make sure my content is very very good as a compromise.

Hoping for 97, I got 95 all of Year 11 with minimal effort. Ideally 97+, and I guess it's realistic to bump English 1-2 marks up.
