How to get your raw marks / Raw Marks FAQ

Yes, for the sole reason that it's easier to type a letter than handwrite the stuff onto that form. Legally, it just has to be in writing on paper, so you can choose to use the form, or write up your own request.

    Physics internal scaled down...

I haven't found any information about ACE specifically, but Official Notice BOS 14/08 says in relation to non-government school registration that the relevant manuals constitute the s131 rules under the Act, so it may be similar with ACE. I'll try and find out more. That doesn't surprise me...

"Actual marks are not to be revealed to students" does sound awfully like a demand rather than just a suggestion. Arguably then, they're violating the Information Protection Principles.

    Need advice/help with Commerce/Music decision - Please...

My understanding is that you submit an application for credit to the relevant faculty after your transfer is approved, and they simply credit all your previous courses towards the new degree. Although I'm just a year 12 student so I don't have any experience with this. ANU - Enrolments - Student...

Do you have a copy of the official Board advice regarding this? (Is it in the ACE Manual?)

    Anyone getting their exam(s) rechecked?

Well, HSC markers aren't directly involved in clerical rechecks I presume, and BOSBOY knows far, far too much about everything BOS-related... it makes sense that they would check the answer booklets to confirm if there was a non-attempt, just to make sure the papers were distributed correctly.

    First year maths

Hi BOSers, I'm planning to go to ANU next year and do a combined Arts/Science degree. I'm looking over my options for courses for next year, and for the Science major I want to do (Computer Science) I have to do one of the first year maths courses - MATH1005 (Discrete Mathematical Models)...

    Clerical Checks?

With knowledge like that, you must work for the Board of Studies ;)

    Physics internal scaled down...

No, your assessment mark is equal to the highest exam mark of anyone in your class. So if you bomb the exam, but someone else gets 95 in the exam, you get 95 as your assessment mark.

    Anyone get 90+/95+ without b6s?

Agreed, SDD is more coding-focused, but that said SDD is still quite an easy subject. I hated it. The scaling isn't great either.

Who didn't receive their course scores in the mail from BOS today?

Well, they need to give you a piece of paper you can use all the time whenever you need to show your HSC results to anyone. The real results information will be on a very nice piece of paper that you get next month...

    There's still hope

UND doesn't go through UAC, they handle their application system privately.

is there a degree that allows you to teach; history, legal studies and english??

I believe in humanities subjects they merely require you've done a major in one humanity plus a few extra courses. Most Legal Studies teachers I know also teach/have taught Geography, Commerce, History and Economics. They can't have majors in all of them. edit...

If they didn't do that, then what's to stop teachers from marking their assessments really easily and making sure there's always someone getting 95%+?

is there a degree that allows you to teach; history, legal studies and english??

Do an arts degree, study history and English as majors, maybe do a few criminology electives. Then get a DipEd, and you'd probably be able to teach them.

    CSPs?

    I think it's closer to 99%...

    CSPs?

Course costs - UAC undergraduate website - That's the most obvious thing I could find. It doesn't even list anything about non-CSP (i.e. DFEE) courses.
