Sorry for my ignorance but I read on USYD's website that for second year external transfer to the Combined Law degree, Sydney may only look at your GPA, and not 50:50 Atar and GPA. Is that true? If this is true, how do they compare you to other students who are competing for second year...

So does that mean that you may have a lecture of subject A on monday, and on the same day have a tutorial of subject B which has got nothing to do with your lectures on that day?
