    Tape batteries to your pen and practice day and night if you have to. A 1100+ word response is essential to give you a good shot at securing full marks. My memorised essays were ~950, moulding it well involves adding an extra 100~ words on the day.

    Normally I'm not one to judge one's individual circumstances, but in Year 8 I spent all my time eating, watching Heroes, playing Dota, watching/playing cricket, bumming around and doing literally no work. It's really the best time of your life - screw tutoring, there's a time and place for it.

    You're saying it as though the OP is playing Russian roulette. You can try to get in more than once, and if you put the work in during your undergrad to prepare for the GAMSAT well enough, it's very possible you'll get in on your first go. If not, take a year off, do Hons. and try again!
