    Rules for Customers

You know what, I'm sure that happens in about 50% of our nonreceipt refunds. Anything that we think is suss can go on a returns card, but if its only a few dollars then it actually costs the company more for the returns card and corresponding eft transactions than to give the cash back...

Whats the difference between Cert 2 and Future 2IC Course? Coz there's a girl in my store doing Future 2IC, and she's 18 (but also full time). Also, I have no fucking idea how they paid me this week (about 7 different rates), but its a VERY VERY nice total.

    Vacation Homework?!?!

Fairly sure you won't get an N award for not finishing holiday booklets. The teachers probably set it to stop parents ringing them asking why their HSC kid does not have to study 10+ hours a day in the holidays. I know it sucks, but just work through them slowly, but definitely have a break too!

HELP ME PLEASE!!! combined commerce @ usyd

I'm in Commerce/Arts (though not at USyd), so I'll comment generally on the Commerce aspect. Workload: I did more arts than commerce subjects this year due to my degree structure, but I found that though the Commerce subjects had a higher workload than my Arts subjects, it was easier to do...

Two under? haha, we were 5 under between 12 and 3 yesterday...that was really fun. I bet the SSS thing will be nothing, I had our compliance officer come and speak with me on christmas eve, I thought I'd done something wrong, and all she wanted was a bit of a quiz on how I thought my SSM/CSM...

    Money-saving tips?

buy second hand textbooks where you can. don't buy food at uni - ie a chocolate bar at my uni is 2.50, at woolies there would be the same one for 99c. take public transport instead of driving (so saving on a parking permit/fees and petrol there) print lecture notes two sides to a page, and...

Good plan. OR - claim ignorance about the 10 hour rule. i had to tell another supervisor about it a few weeks ago when she did 21.30 finish, and 7.00 open.

I don't know about your store, but for our perishables department there is either a list on the fridge door for you, or the duty manager will know exactly what needs to be done/in what order. I reckon you'll get a massive load tomorrow (IIRC you're in a WA store aren't you) - we've had no milk...

Post your Boxing Day Sale shopping list!

pretty much all my friends got one for a birthday...so the charms came as obligatory gifts from everyone else. i remember looking around a tute earlier this year, 14 girls in the tute group, 10 pandora bracelets on.

fair enough then, as your store isn't in tourist precinct that may very well be the correct rate. see, staff in my store/area are payed a higher rate all year round (even though we're in the same state) because we're expected to do more extended trade. so that could be why we're being payed...

you may have been paid wrong there, haha. check your payslip again the next sunday you work and see if its the same. and casuals can get overtime, if their shifts go over a certain amount of hours or if they work over 38 hours (though some stores still wont pay this - ie mine)
