on your payslip, see the rate next to SAL (its towards the bottom on the right hand side), its 2.7 times that rate. I'm in WA, and my old sunday rate was around 18ish (though I get paid more coz I'm in a tourist district). So its def not 23.

Yeah I guess. Thats like one of our bakery assistants is doing 6-19.30 today...I don't think our STM knew what time he started. On a roster that would never have happened, but when the 3-7.30 person calls in sick, they didn't even notice.

Why should you though? Thats THEIR bad rostering. Sorry, I'm still bitter about the week where no department would pay me my last 3 hours as overtime, nontrade arguing I'm with them 5 hours every week so why should they pay me more because f/e can't roster, and f/e arguing that my hours...

Why would declined transaction fees on gift cards be an issue? Sorry if its completely obvious, but well, I never thought of it like that. In saying that, half of my operators wouldn't know how to do a giftcard enquiry though.

Yeah, I agree. A lot of our specialists are female (HR, Compliance, Deli, SSS etc), but then there's only one or two female SM's in our area.

I'm going to try and save at least $1000 before uni goes back to put on HECS next semester. Key word though: try. :(

Nope, probably not. Though I'd like to think that you'd get a job at some point :P Thats why all the mature age students (not talking 30's, I mean the ones in their 60s and 70s) piss me off. They're never going to work with those degrees!

When I enrolled, it was tick a box and fill in your TFN. If you do not yet have a TFN I would advise applying for one now so that you have it ready for enrolment.

Our department wages got completely blown out of budget today, about 8 people turned up for three different shifts, and STM said to keep them...wtf?

We normally have a page and a half on 10-5 days, and its super busy. So to have that on an 8-9 day is a terrifying prospect. You must have appalling communication in your store. All supervisors in mine knew how to do ID checks the first shift that they were in after it started, in fact...

    small back sizes (bras)

yeah, i know my logic there is a bit warped. i just remember being fitted and the lady in the store going "this is your size, we don't stock it, so have 10DD bras instead". So its become habit.

Today was allright, I barely served all day (even though I was on as an operator) and we got a lot done (ie four days worth of reports). Went and helped in cash office for approx two hours, they were super behind today (we didn't get our first change order until nearly 2 oclock). Monday...

    small back sizes (bras)

I have the same problem, I got fitted as a 8DD. Its hard enough to find 10DD bras, but they're really the best that I can find... Isn't it true though that if you decrease the cup size and increase the back size its actually the same size bra? So maybe try a 10C then, I know thats a very...

You can hell tell our Monday is being paid at public holiday rates. They've really skimped on operators, its an 8am-9pm day, but less than two pages of grids. And most of those people are doing 3-5 hour shifts. Its going to be a little bit problematic, I think.

We have about nine telco checks to enter into the register tomorrow, looks like on Thursday the smokeshop operators used the forms and didn't tell us, only found them while looking for something else at close. I'm making them a job for first thing tomorrow morning.
