THat seems like a lot of votes.

How does it compare to 08 or 07?

I looked in the thread but you didn't post numbers.

there were 141 nus votes for left focus, and 57 for the palestine group. all of those probably delivered hatter about 1/3 or so of their vote.

The ACE/Activate deal means they have a majority.

Ace got Honi by 66 votes (Hatter prefs. called it). Tom Clement outpolled by informals for President. NUS looking like 700ish votes to Activate, 500ish to Spark, 300ish to Whigs - proper count tomorrow. Fuck knows for SRC distributions.
That's not even close to true, I tripled the informal rate.

Prez counts were 10% Inf, 30% Me, 60% Elly
Between just me and Elly: 32.5% to me, 67.5% to her. Not the biggest landslide in recent memory, where both grassroots left AND the libs polled less than 30% combined against Kate Laing's 70% (It's somewhere between 69% and 71% if I remember correctly)

After prelim count, leading NUS groups were:
Activate: 700
Whigs: 550
Spark: 500
TC for Prez: 400
Rough numbers.

NUS final results:

Activate 3, Whigs 2 (including bottom seat, which takes one less vote to conference), Spark 1, TC for Prez 1. Thank god, no socialist alternative down there.

Order of election:
Noah White (Activate)
Andrew Coleman (Whigs)
Michael Buckland (Spark)
Me (Tom Clem 4 Prez)
Elly Howse (Activate)
Matt McGirr (Activate)
Tom Green (Whigs)

Also, thanks for not voting for me for president. Going to Canada's way fucking better.
