Hmm, does mass effect 2 carry on from 1? cos I have 2 but haven't played 1.

You must play ME1.
The gameplay experience changes significantly if you haven't played ME1 as it does carry on.
Also, you won't have the slightest idea what's going on without playing anyway?

Some oldies:
-4 in 1 boxset for all Baldur's Gate games I saw it either at JB or EB for $30.
-There are heaps of good free starcraft scenarios some of which have a good plot and are quite long.
-Dawn of War, wh40k for an rts
More recent games:
-NWN 2 aint bad but the game's engine, UI and AI systems suck big time.
-DA:O

Also to add on to that there are some epic warcraft 3 scenarios and stuff too, like FF type maps and well, pretty much anything you can think of.

borderlands is a nice long game, fps/rpg, but story is kinda dumb (i dont usually care about stories, though i enjoyed the game).
and there's the s.t.a.l.k.e.r. series, nice long game with cool story (fps).

Hated Fable. Thought it was a fucking retarded game and regret buying it, even at discount price. My character just looked like some stupid bogan with a sword on his back.

Yeh, so many games playing atm (DA: O and Torchlight mostly), others I want to return to (Diablo, Titan Quest, COD4, CSS, GTA IV, Crysis, Fallout 3, Hellgate: London), others I have but haven't played (ME2, gotta ME1 first, star ocean, some others I forget), Others I haven't played and really wanna, Fable, Baldurs Gate and another couple.
Partly cbf installing, partly just bosing because there is so many games I'm not even sure what I really wanna play. That said I'm always up for some tf2.
