Watch his movie again and notice how on the graph, the rise in CO₂ comes AFTER the rise in global temp. The rise in CO₂ is from the ocean temperatures rising due to gases being less soluble in liquids at higher temperatures.

It's not the rise in CO₂ that cause temperature rises, it's the rise in temperature that causes CO₂ rises.
