I was wondering if anyone has read the 3rd book "Dexter in the Dark". I've read the first two books am watching the tv series and i'm totally hooked. But i have heard that the 3rd book has gotten bad reviews and was wondering if i should waste my time reading it.

I disagree, see the major focus of this whole season has been Dexter and Miguel, the skinner was a side story with the only connection being freebo, so it didn't need to unfold like the Ice Truck Killer plot did. Those two scenes in the coffee shop and on the roof top were intense, can't wait for the last two episodes of this season

What a cliff hanger, ay? The Skinner also follows a code so it'll be interesting to see how Dexter will get out of his "little situation".
