It depends what your method of memorisaton is as well. Some people can just remember the information as it is, making other peoples notes ideal.

And in answer to your questions, I used Ahmad Shah Idil's (sic) notes for Biology and Chemistry. They were succinct, clear and in-depth at the same time, and were bloody useful for my exam prep.
Hehehehehehehe me too.

Dude, his notes are probably the best for Bio&Chem.

he lacks certain experiments;
and just make sure you have a textbook right next to the notes IN CASE you feel there isnt enough info on something.

I think they're generally fine. However, it should not act as a substitute for actually studying and paying attention in class.

best business studies notes? anyone lol?
Go search for them yourself. You do know how to get to the resources page don't you? People have done the hard work and actually done the notes, and you can't be fucked looking for them yourself.

Hey everyone :jedi:
I'm having a dilema... where today I was writting an essay for my trial HSC and looking for evidence, cases and examples and stumbled across a few sets of notes in the resource section of the Bored of Studies. I used them for my essay and realised how good they were, then later on today I got sick of writting out notes for ancient and looked for Ancient History ones and sure enough they were there aswell.

So I want to know what everyones opinions are in relation to using other peoples notes and memorising them for the HSC instead of writting out your own.

Also has anyone done this before? Was it Successful/failed? Is anyone doing it?

Thank you soo much :)
Steph

p.s. I'm aiming for a 90+ UAI if that helps at all in giving an opinion.
see if those notes are good for 1st copy them notes out urself so you are comfortable with your writing. And see if it relates to what your study, if it does than keep using the. Well you hav to make your own notes or get off people so in the end ur left with notes.:jedi:

Chill Aerath :).

LOL.

To OP: Like Kujah stated, the trials are lurking around the corner. Since there's no time for textbook studying, go for it!

no, not ouch really
if you watch uncle he is so high and mighty about the HSC
his superiority complex pisses me off. :mad1:
agreed.
& i also think that if he did good in the hsc he wouldn't feel the need to roam around these posts and make such comments.

And, in regards to the thread. I've tried to study from other peoples notes, but i just cant for some reason :S . I also have an issue with just memorizing notes from a person I don't know, even though I'm sure they're great, I feel the need to add onto them or just make my own notes and take parts off theirs that I know are correct. Hope that makes sense, lol..

Just too scared to take any risks since its HSC. But if if works for you, then go for it :D

Using others' notes from the resources section is pretty useful, especially when you're in a rush to get some study/revision done but personally it doesn't really work for me. It doesn't suit me most of the time and the notes just don't stick in like when i write my own :D

I agree with the above post, I find writing my own notes much more beneficial even if they take time, as you can remember the information better. However when i write my own notes i use other people's notes to guide and make the process a bit faster. However I've been doing this throughout the year, and If you haven't started, then using other people's notes is probably better
