like i said, read it urself, obviously u already have, and start reading the quran, and then come report to us about what u think then
Of course there will be contradictions between the Bible and the Quran, they're two different books!
You said the Bible had 1001 contradictions, what are they?

Who is the father of Joseph?
MAT 1:16 And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.
LUK 3:23 And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, which was the son of Heli.
How is that a contradiction? The first verse says that Mary gave birth to Jesus, the second says supposed son of Joseph because that is what people would have thought.

Snails do not melt
PSA 58:8 As a snail which melteth, let every one of them pass away: like the untimely birth of a woman, that they may not see the sun.
Psalms is a collection of songs, perhaps it is a metaphor! And snails melt..kindof...if you put salt onthem.

The shape of the earth
ISA 40:22 It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:
MAT 4:8 Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;

Astromical bodies are spherical, and you cannot see the entire exterior surface from anyplace. The kingdoms of Egypt, China, Greece, Crete, sections of Asia Minor, India, Maya (in Mexico), Carthage (North Africa), Rome (Italy), Korea, and other settlements from these kingdoms of the world were widely distributed.
All the kingdoms of the world at that time would have been very small in comparison to today.

A lot of those other 'contradictions' are taken out of context, however if one was to read them in their entire context you would see that they do not contradict.

The list of contradictions was actually attached in this thread ages ago and itwas actually 101 not 1001. Most of the contradictions occur in the Old Testament (before Jesus). I personally took a look at it and started laughing, the contradictions were like "In book A it says that Person A was 150 years old yet in Book B it said he lived for 130 years."I mean thats hardly something to leave your religion for.

there isn't a right religion. respect other people's beliefs.
what you think is right might be wrong to someone else.

hmm well have you thought about the people who don't believe in heaven? they're still happy to be reincarnated or just to live a happy life and die happily. :)
the only things in life that have a definite right or wrong are maths and science. everything else is debateable to some extent. why bother people about not believe in god if they're happy and living their life to the full extent in their own ways?

well see i respect other peoples views and i accept it....i dont tell them theyre wrong, or that i think what they believe is wrong.....everyone has a right to believe in what they want....but personally i would disagree with alot of the facts they base their belief on......were not debating personal issues like "green is the best colour and anyone who says it isnt is wrong"....people base their belief in god on facts which as a result of alot of research i have come to find the facts are false......therefore i have to disagree with them.....however i do respect their beliefs....

how can you prove that facts about a person's belief are wrong?

Contradictions in the Bible as follows:

God good to all, or just a few?
PSA 145:9 The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works.
JER 13:14 And I will dash them one against another, even the fathers and the sons together, saith the LORD: I will not pity, nor spare, nor have mercy, but destroy them.

War or Peace?
EXO 15:3 The LORD is a man of war: the LORD is his name.
ROM 15:33 Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen.

Who was at the Empty Tomb? Is it:
MAT 28:1 In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.
MAR 16:1 And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, had bought sweet spices, that they might come and anoint him.
JOH 20:1 The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre.

Is Jesus equal to or lesser than?
JOH 10:30 I and my Father are one.
JOH 14:28 Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.

Which first--beasts or man?
GEN 1:25 And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
GEN 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
GEN 2:18 And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.
And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he GEN 2:19would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof.

Just to name a few.

Various methods used to explain the contradictions:

1. "That is to be taken metaphorically" In other words, what is written is not what is meant. I find this entertaining, especially for those who decide what ISN'T to be taken as other than the absolute WORD OF GOD--which just happens to agree with the particular thing they happen to want

2. "There was more there than...." This is used when one verse says "there was a" and another says "there was b", so they decide there was "a" AND "b"--which is said nowhere. This makes them happy, since it doesn't say there WASN'T "a+b". But it doesn't say there was "a+b+litle green martians". This is often the same crowd that insists theirs is the ONLY possible interpretation (i.e. only "a") and the only way. I find it entertaining they they don't mind adding to verses.

3. "It has to be understood in context" I find this amusing because it comes from the same crowd that likes to push likewise extracted verses that support their particular view. Often it is just one of the verses in the contradictory set is suppose to be taken as THE TRUTH when if you add more to it it suddenly becomes "out of context". How many of you have goten JUST John 3:16 (taken out of all context) thrown up at you?

4. "there was just a copying/writing error" This is sometimes called a "transcription error", as in where one number was meant and an incorrect one was copied down. Or that what was "quoted" wasn't really what was said, but just what the author thought was said when he thought it was said. And that's right--I'm not disagreeing with events, I'm disagreeing with what is WRITTEN. Which is apparently agreed that it is incorrect. This is an amusing misdirection to the problem that the bible itself is wrong.

5. "That is a miracle". Naturally. That is why it is stated as fact.

6. "God works in mysterious ways" A useful dodge when the speaker doesn't understand the conflict between what the bible SAYS and what they WISH it said.

Let's have a count and see how many of those excuses have been used in this argument by people continually posting Bible extracts.

Find the rest here

well islam teaches that there is only one god......he dosent have a son, so does that make the christian god different to the muslim god??...maybe their interpretation of god is different to ours, but like christianity, judaism and islam all share similar prophets and things therefore it should be the same.....

You said earlier that your God didn't have a son, but a messenger... So maybe that's where Christianity and Islam overlap. Jesus is the Christian version of your God's messenger.

Another quick question, out of curiosity...
Does it annoy you that your religion gets such a bad rap because of the exremists in the Arab states killing people in the name of God?
I mean, when I used to read about the treatment of people over there, and how it was all in the name of religion, I was actually under the impression Muslims were evil and Islam was some weirdo religion.

u know....so was i...and thats what made me concentrate on islam the most......coz it sounded like such a weird religion and it made me wonder "how come this violent, repressed religion is the second largest religion in the world and is growing at the fastest rate then any other religion.......and when u look into it properly u find that the real islam has been forgotten as ppl try to make money and gain power out of religion....exremists who kill in the name of god have the worst punishment of anyone...u cannot use the name of god to cause bloodshed.....and all those stories u hear about women repressed or forced to live in harems, arent all true....ive read so many on the net which are actually fake as they refer to sections in the quran which say women have no rights...these sections dont actually exsist....and just the other day that book "forbidden love" was proved to be a fake.....it happens though and men who treat their wives badly will get their punishment....no body is better than anybody in this world....were all equal....

No no no. You see this is the basic jist:

There were more than 100,000 prophets/messengers of God's, including:
Moses,
Jesus,
John the baptist,
and others,
and Mohammed was the last prophet/messenger of God. (Peace be Upon Them all)
Just like the Jews did not accept Jesus, Christians and Jews do not accept Mohammed, because i dont know why. I think it's cos Christianity was already new religion because they took Jesus (pbuh) the wrong way. They gave him divine qualities and associated him with God. Now Jesus (pbuh) even says in the Bible to await the coming of the Last messenger of God, Mohammed (pbuh), but due to some filanderings within the Bible, its more cryptic and there had to be a third God for the Christians to explain what Jesus was saying about the coming of the Comforter, then you have the Holy Ghost.

So you see, Jesus is NOT the Christian version of Mohammed because that would make a fourth God wouldn't? And when Mohammed came, he made it clear the one thing that the people of the book forgot: there is only ONE God.
