like i know the subjects ill be doing throughout the year(theres a big list) but i dont know which one to pick for 1st sem...can i just pick whatever i like?

also, how many UOC do i need to do in 1st sem?
You obviously can't pick the ones with prerequisites since you haven't done those subjects yet. Do the ones which don't have prerequisites and if there are more than 4, do the ones which offer you a better timetable. Also, there are subjects which are only offered in semester 1 and only offered in semester 2, so make sure you take that into account.

You can, but if you decide to take 18 UoC in first sem, you'll need to find somewhere to either overload, take summer school to fill that gap. Otherwise you may have to stay on for an extra semester.

If you allow your lectures to clash, the system won't enrol you. Thus from there you will need to get permission from the subject coordinators in order to approve of the clash. Then you get the student center of whoever is managing your degree to enrol you in.

There's no correct combo. There's only incorrect ones. If you enrolled in ARTS1030, MATH1041, ARTS1650 and LAWS3525 - then yes, that's wrong.

What you should be doing is looking at the handbook entry of your degree program and making sure that every subject you are enrolled in will count toward your degree. In your case, yes - that is the case.

Yes they are. Trust me on this one. Enrol into those subjects because they are the prerequisites for the subjects you'll need to take for next sem. or later.

MATH1151 in sem. 1 -> MATH1251 in sem. 2
ACTL1101 in sem . 1 + FINS1613 in sem. 1 -> ACTL1122 in sem. 2
ECON1101 in sem. 1 -> ECON1102 in sem. 2

The actuarial program was designed like that to ensure that everyone was on track and that there would be lack of information assymetry, thus having everyone on the same grounding (in ACTL1001, lots of ppl weren't doing FINS1613 and that caused a lot of problems in the types of questions allowed in the finals).
