i dont understand how these work, do these courses outside your degree count towards anything or do you do it for interest?

pick courses from a list you do outside your degree. very long list and you have to do them part of degree, and count towards WAM

Double Degrees don't have the empty slots to do General Education because it's taken up by the other degree.

Gen Eds are any course you can enroll in (some aren't available as General Education) and, afaik, they count towards your GPA/WAM.

So basically what twistedrebel said

So instead of having empty slots in your timetable filled up by fucking Astronomy or some shit, you do things that pertain to your other degree
