They mark all sections, although any poster or guest viewing this would already know that

Yeah look don't worry about it mate.

Barbernator raised a valid point - I'm pretty sure its just your best 2/3 sections and they moderate it or something, but at my school everybody did all three sections just to be safe.

Did you complete the sections which you did attempt to a high standard?
ALL THREE SECTIONS COUNT!!! Moderation = Optional scaling (e.g. For Belonging people did different prescribed texts, some texts may be deemed harder)

No, that's only for part two of the paper where you have to write three essays. For part one its just you two best units, i'm 95% sure

All sections are marked. They have always been.

"Paper 1 will be marked out of 45 marks and the mark for each candidate will be converted to a mark out of 40."

First I heard of it being converted from 45 to 40, why not convert 105 to 100 to take in account both sections

hmmm I guess the people that get like 44/45, it wouldn't work because that means they would get 44/40 which isnt a number. :/

if you get 25/45 that is 55.55%. Times that by 40 and you'll get 22.2222 so you'll probably get 22/40
