Just some reference to an ancient text and a mythical deity and an entire collection of contradictions. There's no logical opposition to homosexuality in this entire thread.
Supremacy as in legal acknowledgement from our government that this is the most important relationship to society - that it is unquestionably more valuable and benificial than two homosexuals stamping their feet demanding equality with something that they are clearly not equal toDefine supremacy?
They're less than 10% of the population, I think you guys will be pretty safe for now.
Of course they don't. It's more convenient that way.Just some reference to an ancient text and a mythical deity and an entire collection of contradictions.
For example, they argue that homosexuality should be banned because it is a sin, just like murder. But they don't actually follow what the other part of their ancient text which says "love thy neighbour as thyself". They say they do but really they want to constrain the law against people who are gay. Moreover they ignore the way the bible supports slavery. etc. etc. etc. They also say people have the right to sin but they shouldn't, its just that they want to make particular sins against the law.
Again, valuable and beneficial to whom?Supremacy as in legal acknowledgement from our government that this is the most important relationship to society - that it is unquestionably more valuable and benificial than two homosexuals stamping their feet demanding equality with something that they are clearly not equal to
Love is about doing what is right, and having the courage to look someone in the eye and say what they are doing is wrong, and reaching out to help them with their problems.Just some reference to an ancient text and a mythical deity and an entire collection of contradictions.

That's fantastic except you've provided no basis whatsoever from which to assert that it's actually "wrong"Love is about doing what is right, and having the courage to look someone in the eye and say what they are doing is wrong, and reaching out to help them with their problems.
Love is not saying "yeah its fine go do what you want as long as you don't disturb me".
“A 'No' uttered from deepest conviction is better and greater than a 'Yes' merely uttered to please, or what is worse, to avoid trouble."

What law have we suggest which at all prevents homosexuality or inhibits people who so desire to engage in homosexual sex?Anti-gay views are not legitimate, they are discrimination. Reaching out and helping people does not mean making a law against who they are.
I am ashamed to think people still have these views. Its beyond a joke.
I noticed you ignored the pronouncements about getting drunk. And wearing mixed cloth./Facepalm.
/Headesk.I noticed you ignored the pronouncements about getting drunk. And wearing mixed cloth.
So again: you're cherry picking one sin and ignoring others, and that sir is hypocritical.
No, it is, unless you can explain how it isn't. Hey, I'm all ears./Headesk.
No you're not. We oppose things that we see as unjust (killing of whales maybe, euthanasia, capital punishment, or even homosexuality). Christianity denies homosexuals rights, so therefore, we oppose christianity. We do not oppose you personally, nor do we want to oppose you practicing your belief. When you however, use your belief as an excuse to impede on another individual's chance for happiness, then we'll have a problem. What law have we suggest which at all prevents homosexuality or inhibits people who so desire to engage in homosexual sex?
You are not a believer, and therfore deliberatley oppose everything the Church says, even in debates which don't even affect you, simply to satisfy your desire to attack other people's beliefs. Amirite?
Why don't I find a text that says christianity is wrong? I'm sure there are many out there. Why don't I try to make laws against people that are christian? This is the same as what you are doing. You found a text which is against homosexuality. You support it. You want to make it that way for everyone. You want to stop society from recognising gay rights. What law have we suggest which at all prevents homosexuality or inhibits people who so desire to engage in homosexual sex?

As a non-believer I couldn't care less what the church says. What law have we suggest which at all prevents homosexuality or inhibits people who so desire to engage in homosexual sex?
